Re: Lack of ball boys and girls ?

The wall issue is nothing new. As a youngster it was always tempting to sit on the wall with our legs dangling pitchside, but there were always one or two constables (Specials, I think) making sure we didn't do it. In those days (early 60s) you did what a copper told you - unless you wanted a clip r...

Re: woking saturday

On previous strike days the service has varied on a line-by-line and station-by-station basis, with some getting a fairly full service and others nothing at all. I looked at the SWR website yesterday and it is showing a stopping service from Waterloo to Woking every 30 mins. What it does not show is...

Re: BARROW V HALIFAX match thread

Many years ago a referee scored a goal for the us when it deflected off him nowadays with this stupid new rule that wouldn't have stood , thought the idea was to keep football flowing not stop the game with stupid rules Ivan Robinson, at home against Plymouth in 1968. Took us to second, I think, in...

Re: Chesterfield FC (A) match thread

Att 167 from Barrow Not a bad crowd, considering that, as Radio Cumbria mentioned, many Barrow regulars are at Ste Story's wedding. And for us Southern based supporters, major railway engineering works made travel from London virtually impossible. Best wishes to Ste and the new Mrs. Story. It would...

Re: Yeovil fans coach

I remember something similar happening to the Barrow team bus for an away match at Yeovil By coincidence 28 years to the day on 17th August 1991 Game kicked about an hour late if I remember correctly That would be the game that those of us who were at the ground, having taken the waters (or ciders?...

Have just noticed Yeovil are missing from the conference premier team forums list at bottom of page !.
See the Forum Links thread in Website Comments for the reason why; basically, they don't seem to have one.
