Not a top priority, perhaps, but a quick fix; how much time & effort would it take for someone to update the website as soon as a player has signed, or is released?Si_Nichols wrote: They do need ideally need someone handling these issues on a permanent basis however but not sure it would be top of my priority list if I was PC as there are lots of other things that are far more important that need sorting.
Then issue a press release so that the media (the Mail, BBC, etc) can report the news

Could be tricky, with the French ferry workers blockading Calais and setting the channel tunnel entrance on fire, and the French air traffic controllers going on strike.John Very Little wrote: Fofana has agreed terms and is expected to sign on his return from France.
I'm not trying to ridicule your point. I'm not an expert in the legal niceties, but my guess is that if a player is under contract to a club, he probably can't be released (and signed by another club) until that contract has expired. Otherwise, the new club may have to buy out the remaining weeks of the existing contract.blue nige wrote:The point I was making is that irrespective of them being out of contract at the end of June. If it was not being reviewed it's obvious that they would have been released! Then we would have spoken to them and we could have announced some imminent signings!Steelworks End wrote: Because they're under contract until the end of June?
Sorry I have had to explain that to you but there again you wouldn't have tried to ridicule a valid point!
Because they're under contract until the end of June?blue nige wrote:I hope it`s right about these contracts because if they are out of contract tomorrow, why were they not released at the end of the season?
