Re: Barrow v Bromley Match thread

After watching the Bromley highlights video, and seeing a bit of Dior Angus for the first time it looks to me as though he could be a very decent player and his record of scoring 14 goals at a team as bad as Nuneaton would also suggest the same. Unfortunately, I can't see much else on the attacking ...

Re: Agustien gone

A great shame we didn't have the Newby boys as this manager would have made something of them. Elliot has scored 6 goals from midfield for Chorley and was player of the year while Alex has now got 14. Both local boys who I would guess would have progressed uner Ian Evatt as they seem to be doing at ...

Re: Agustien gone

Agents are parasites and are not needed in football. Many people in my former life as an IT person work from their own companies and have to negotiate their salaries with an employer. We're no different to low level footballers but manage to do it ourselves without the need for somebody else to thin...

Re: Agustien gone

I think a few folk are overreacting in terms of the comments on Saturday about the fans. He prefaced it by saying the fans had been great all season and he was disappointed that the players got stick rather than encouragement on Saturday. That’s fair comment in my eyes. Now, given the inherent gloo...

Re: BARROW V Halifax match thread

Sounds very much as though we're missing a creative midfield player!

Re: New Signing

I believe Nathan is fit and ready to play - with these new signings and Blyth and Hindle where does that leave him? I presume right down the pecking order - has he shown enough to be given a chance or do we need better? Certainly worth giving him a chance to impress the manager. I notice that Chorl...

Re: Scoring Goals

Hindle is a goal scorer but for reasons I don’t know doesn’t start that often? Tyler smith has left and we move on. Blyth is short of games no fault on him but he’s done well. As for Rooney ..... very good strike rate for a midfielder and he has more good games than most. New loan strikers will sco...

Re: Havant v BARROW match thread

As one who made the journey to Havant yesterday I would like to record the highlights, i.e. the record breaking time achieved by the bus drivers southbound and the even faster journey home. I went to see a football match only there wasn't any football.. Very disappointed. Luckily it's only about a ...

Re: Agustien

I'm probably in the minority here but some of the fawning over him after 4 or 5 good performances seems way ott, that goal against salford was his first in open play for a couple of years and prior to joining us was training with nuneaton, he's certainly no kenny lowe or bulliemore based on what he...

Re: Havant v BARROW match thread

No complaints about the result; we got what we deserved. It's hard to recall a single shot on target apart from the one "goal" which was disallowed, rightly so, for a blatant handball - one of the few decisions that the referee actually got right. One one occasion he awarded Barrow a free kick in t...

Re: Havant v BARROW match thread

We have been superb in recent weeks but today started to show how our squad is creaking. We were absolutely appalling. We deserved nothing. Havant were awful but we were worse. We will be safe this season but anyone dreaming of playoffs wake up now. Special mention for the referee however who clear...

Excellent name. How’s he done at Braintree?
Only played 5 games for them and scored 1 goal.
