Re: Prediction for the season

Think we will concede too many goals to make a serious play off push this year; lost our two best defenders from last season (Jones and Norrington Davies) 11th Absolutely correct if the Morcambe highlights are anything to go by as the defence was wide open time after time even though Barrow looked ...

Re: Morecambe FC pre season

Neither Taylor nor Fox are young men and having both of them would be a huge benefit over a season even without either of them picking up any injury.

Re: Morecambe FC pre season

Well I thought their finishing was poor last night but after watching that I was mistaken....it was absolutely woeful. First half we looked a bit out of sorts but the second half was much better. I can see Byron taking Turners sage and place. Saltmer looks to be a very decent back-up keeper, bit on...

Re: Morecambe FC pre season

Fox has played 128 matches for Plymouth since 2016 so was obviously a regular first team player in Division 1. I'm surprised he is dropping down 2 levels but he is almost 36 but I'm still surprised a Divison 2 club hasn't signed him.

Re: Blackburn Rovers (H) pre season

I spoke to Byron before the game. He said it has taken 2 years to get over the ankle injury but now over it. We shall see. He played with Evatt at Chesterfield. He displayed a few classy touches. If he really is fit he’s worth keeping in my view as he would score goals in this team no doubt. He’s a...

Re: Dan Jones

Rumour has it we have an excellent replacement coming in for Dan Jones ,played for us before and would be welcomed back by many.Is this the player they can’t announce until after 1st June I wonder? Would you say he's a 'big' name? McNulty? He's definitely 'big'! Sub for Tranmere today when they won...

Re: Players linked thread

When I've seen Jameson I haven't been over-impressed. Definitely not a loss to compare to Dan Jones who has always looked a top class player.

Now to get Dan Jones signed up, and get them full backs sorted
Barry and Brown are full backs - but yes we need cover there.
If we hope to be near the top of the league (and I think the manager does) then I can't see Brown being a first choice.

Personally I'd have Bennett over Blyth any day of the week
Agreed. Bennett is a far better player than Blyth. I would think he will be picked up by a Division 2 club.

Re: New Manager

Well, that's just made my summer ! Never expected 3 years. Brilliant work from the board. More " positive" things have happened ( and are still happening) in the last 6 months than in the last 6 decades. I mentioned positive twice, sorry about that. 😂 Is it positive enough for the Fylde supporter t...

Re: New Contracts: 2019/20

cant remember looking forward to seeing the new signings / looking forward to the new season in general since the days of when kenny Lowe was in change. How many end of seasons have we scratched our heads on the 'who to retain for next season' threads, struggling to name more than a couple. These r...

Re: New Manager

Ian Evatt has done a fantastic job. Everything about the club now looks so professional to the way it seemed previously although the new owners must also have contributed. A couple of good signings could make Barrow a very good team next season.

Salford

In the National League, Salford paid out £76,338 to agents - more than eight clubs in League One and 21 clubs in League Two.
They are going to be very sick if they miss out on promotion!
