Re: Wrexham v Barrow

You think? I thought Barry did OK but Brough was awful. Slow, weak, got caught out of position a lot and gave posession away too often second half. He didn’t look too slow when he raced 80 yards up the pitch and presented Angus with a golden opportunity, do you think ? Fair point. But for their sec...

Re: Players linked thread

Probably a bit hopeful but a loan move for Zach Clough would be immense. Just hasn’t happened for him since his move from Bolton to Forest, even struggled to get into the Rochdale side on loan last season, needs to regain confidence.

Re: Players linked thread

Let's look forward not backwards... What about Jordan Williams. Been released from Rochdale. I'd look backwards if it meant him coming back. Surprising that, was a regular used substitute last season & looked lively when I popped over to a Rochdale game last season. Would have him back in a heartbe...

Re: Players linked thread

Dior Angus has been released by Port Vale - possible return to Holker Street? Two other Vale players who have donned a Barrow shirt in the past - Luke Joyce and Tom Pope - are under contract to the club. Luke has fond memories of his brief stint at HS & in hindsight wished he stopped on for the res...

Seen him play for FCUM once, unless it was a one off he’s quality & stood out a mile on the day.

Bars around the ground is the only way if they want to take money.. Let people spend spend spend
This. Always thought it was a strange trait for a business to allow its customers to leave their premises at half time to spend money elsewhere. Good move by the club.

Re: BARROW V Hartlepool match thread

An overall very successful season. How far can IE take us with a proper pre season & decent backing from the club?.

Re: Maidenhead v Barrow

Really sad to read this but I had a strong gut feeling the takeover wouldn’t of been as clean cut as described. I would personally of loved to have purchased significant shares in the club post Casson era but I knew by the way they conducted their business the club wouldn’t of been left in good orde...

Re: BARROW v Dover match thread

Entertaining game yesterday, my 2 Bolton folk (which was their 3rd game at HS now) are enjoying this non league stuff. We are safe for the season which is a luxury, know exactly what to build on for next season. Basically anytime we come up against a physical team we come unstuck. Thought Dover were...

Re: New Teams next season - who do we want?

Promoted
Chorley - Doorstep game & proper football club
Stockport - Pretty local

Relegated
Macclesfield - local
Notts County - An away game at a 20,000 capacity stadium, fairly good proximity.

Let's hope that there is a good turnout of Barrow supporters as well (fancy dress optional! :D )
Actually looking forward to this one, it’ll be refreshing to actually see away fans at HS.

Re: 2019-2020 Squad - what do we need ro change?

of the people i'd like to come in there were 2 players in the England v Wales non league international who looked interesting;- Luke Trotman - a right back/wing back from Darlington looked good (aged 21) - can run all day and cross the ball well. Kurt Willoughby striker with FC United - scored for ...

Re: 2019-2020 Squad - what do we need ro change?

I’d like IE to invite the U21 lads to pre-season training, if any of them are capable of making the step up it would save the club a vast amount of money.

Keep the majority of the squad with the addition of a big physical defender & a much needed striker.
