Thought Dixon might have been mom some good saves and good handling. Good 3 points in the end but was a nervy game
Really? His handling was excellent yes, but he didn't have an actual save to make.

Re: Stockport v BARROW match thread

Well stop them getting the chance to lump the ball up in the first place. That is where the defending starts! not the last line with Dixon and the back 4 under constant pressure. Who in midfield is wrecking the build up play? Who is the tough tackler? But you're basically saying stop them having an...

Re: Stockport v BARROW match thread

Yes we need cover at centre half just like every other position but I dont think it is the root cause of our defensive frailties. We need to be stronger defensively as a unit!! The nearest man pressing the opposition player with the ball, doubling up on this in the middle third and stopping teams d...

Re: Stockport v BARROW match thread

Overall, I felt neither side could've complained had it ended up a draw. Having said that, whilst possession was fairly even first half they would've been out of sight had it not been for Dixon with one save in particular being the best I've seen from a Barrow keeper in a good while. Second half, bo...

Re: Wrexham v Barrow

He didn’t look too slow when he raced 80 yards up the pitch and presented Angus with a golden opportunity, do you think ? Fair comment, although at the time I didn't think he exactly 'raced' up the pitch at a great pace and watching the highlights has confirmed that for me. I just though he got exp...

Good news is that fullbacks were excellent
You think? I thought Barry did OK but Brough was awful. Slow, weak, got caught out of position a lot and gave posession away too often second half.

Re: Wrexham v Barrow

Overall, we should've got a point but the first half and second half performances were like chalk and cheese First half, two golden chances towards the end of the half that we should've put away and then its a different game. The first one, I felt the through ball should've gone the other way to Har...

Over a thousand Barrow fans in attendance at a pre-season game? :o That's almost unheard of.

2 attendances over a thousand this pre-season that is!

Re: Photos of ground developments

Yes I know, I don’t mean wall to wall Barrow scarves draped over the bar and, old programmes pinned to the ceiling, but one or two really good quality images, Lifting the Trophy in 1990, 2010, some subtle blue lighting, that sort of stuff. It’s going to be great and I do appreciate it has to make m...

You wait til your son is older. He will volunteer you for allsorts of events at school. You better hadn't disappoint him by being a stick-in-the mud. You may even enjoy yourself. 😂 I'll happily do stuff like that Elaine, it would be for the kids and there would be a point to it. Going to a football...

Re: Hartlepool fancy dress last home game

I find it all very strange. I find that post very strange. It's a Hartlepool tradition. Some superb footage on YouTube of their previous exploits. Depends what you class as superb I guess. It's more cringeworthy and odd to me. Grown men and women dressing up as Smurfs for the day? Very odd but I gu...

Re: 2019-2020 Squad - what do we need ro change?

To be honest think its a joke that people are making these choices and making them public now, this whole squad has done us proud this season then you have clowns on here saying they would get rid of half, these players probably read this forum, pretty disappointing if you ask me,we still have game...

Re: Hartlepool fancy dress last home game

Is 625 the full amount? or is the ground capable of holding more? id be very surprised if we dont sell out. Would need a substantial re-jig of barriers etc. that I doubt would be feasible. I'd imagine they will just get the whole of the Holker Street End if they sell more than the away corner holds.
