Re: Photos of ground developments

Yes I know, I don’t mean wall to wall Barrow scarves draped over the bar and, old programmes pinned to the ceiling, but one or two really good quality images, Lifting the Trophy in 1990, 2010, some subtle blue lighting, that sort of stuff. It’s going to be great and I do appreciate it has to make m...

Re: Hartlepool fancy dress last home game

You wait til your son is older. He will volunteer you for allsorts of events at school. You better hadn't disappoint him by being a stick-in-the mud. You may even enjoy yourself. 😂 I'll happily do stuff like that Elaine, it would be for the kids and there would be a point to it. Going to a football...

Re: Hartlepool fancy dress last home game

I find it all very strange. I find that post very strange. It's a Hartlepool tradition. Some superb footage on YouTube of their previous exploits. Depends what you class as superb I guess. It's more cringeworthy and odd to me. Grown men and women dressing up as Smurfs for the day? Very odd but I gu...

Re: 2019-2020 Squad - what do we need ro change?

To be honest think its a joke that people are making these choices and making them public now, this whole squad has done us proud this season then you have clowns on here saying they would get rid of half, these players probably read this forum, pretty disappointing if you ask me,we still have game...

Re: Hartlepool fancy dress last home game

Is 625 the full amount? or is the ground capable of holding more? id be very surprised if we dont sell out. Would need a substantial re-jig of barriers etc. that I doubt would be feasible. I'd imagine they will just get the whole of the Holker Street End if they sell more than the away corner holds.

Re: BARNET x BARROW match thread

Only 12 points off a playoff place and until mathematicaly impossible I'm sure IE will keep pushing! So to say nowt to play for except safety is typical negative approach.. You never know in football but I'm always a half full person and to be fair, we have under all circumstances had a really soli...

Re: Andy Firth

With Rangers agreeing a bargain deal to sign Andy Firth probably means we won`t receive any transfer fee but play them in a friendly. However skint Rangers may be, what may be a bargain to them is not the same as a bargain to us. Just because they've described it as such I wouldn't take that as mea...

Re: Havant v BARROW match thread

Well, along with the Barnet home game that's the worst I've seen us all season. Didn't get our game going at all, and apart from a header cleared off the line at 1-0 we never looked like scoring. It was a very poor game of football in truth, and Havant were as bad as anything I've ever seen at this ...

Re: Another poor crowd today

700-800 is now our hardcore and has been for a number of years now. Our support has been ageing and historically we've done absolutely nothing worthwhile to attract new or younger supporters, and by and large that continues to be the case. If you were a teenager in Barrow why would you suddenly deci...

Re: BARROW V Wrexham match thread

All them reasons will, and always have affected attendances but I think it’s more disappointing for the simple reason the new owners need people through the gates. If they don’t get people to attend then the only alternative will be for budget cuts, lesser players, smaller squads and more than like...

Re: Ebbsfleet v Bluebirds

I have to say...and this may prove to be an unpopular opinion but we can’t continue to play with both Rooney & Taylor in the side. For me, we need to have a sitting midfielder (Taylor) and then two who can be more creative and look to move the ball forward and be positive. Those two need to be Kay ...

Re: Ebbsfleet v Bluebirds

We say it every week, but if ever there was an example of us dominating a game but failing to capitalise that was it. It's virtually impossible to dominate a game that much but fail to score, yet we somehow achieved it. Ebbsfleet couldn't have argued had we won by 3 or 4 clear goals, very frustrating.

Re: Club Statement: New Chairman - Paul Hornby

The bottom line is we are much better much stronger than we were and for that, I thank him. Are we really? How? Genuine question because I would beg to differ. The club is no more sustainable now than it was before he took over, he's leaving behind absolutely nothing in terms of structure or improv...

Re: Updated Statement From Andrew Casson

A farcical statement typical of AC's involvement with the club.

It neither serves any purpose at all or tells us anything useful.
