Re: 2019-2020 Squad - what do we need ro change?

Pretty much this, with a question mark next to Josh Granite. I like him but he’ll have look like he’s over his run of injuries. We’ve carried a fair few like that this season. Steve Jennings & Jack Hindle should be very important squad players...if they’d accept they probably won’t be first choice ...

Re: New Teams next season - who do we want?

Like it or not I suspect Yeovil might be coming our way next season. They've been plummeting for a while. If they are going to survive I suspect they'll need to beat Crawley on Saturday. If they do, then dont rule out a trip to Gatwick next season either as Crawley are also in danger of getting suck...

Re: Dagenham & Redbridge FC- match thread

Whilst it was certainly no thriller, I thought yesterdays game was pretty much a statement of where we currently are. This time last season two gritty draws at Aldershot and Bromley essentially saved us from relegation. Those who attended these games would have described our performances probably as...

I'm sure Evatt reads this forum and I'm sure he takes on board the views of the fans.
God I hope he doesn't!

Re: Ian Evatt

Watched Angus at Chesterfield and was quite impressed. He certainly has pace and gave the Spireites defence quite a hard time. Unlucky not to score. He has the feel of a player that needs time on the pitch before he coughs up his best. My gut tells me that there is no "marquee" signing up front ahea...

Re: Lewis Hardcastle signs on

Nice to see that the rumours were actually true. We've actually made a new signing targeted for next season before the end of the current one. The worlds gone mad I tell you!

Definitely a momentary frisson of anticipation on that piece of news. When one player signs up other are likely to follow.

Re: Ian Evatt

I believe the majority of the club/fans are in agreement we presently have a strong passionate Manager who plays an entertaining expansive brand of football, let’s just continue to enjoy the ride hopefully for some time yet. D'you know - I think just about everyone posting on this thread would agre...

Re: Ian Evatt

Absolutely. I wouldn't expect him to be with us even for another full season if he continues to develop as he is. However if he does continue to develop we'd be in a much better place by say Xmas having had a recruitment campaign, a pre-season and a few months playing decent football. And possibly ...

Re: Barrow v Harrogate Town

Thought Dixon was primarily at fault for both goals. Whenever he comes out of his box he does seem to have an issue both with timing and decision making. Hoofing the ball straight toward two oncoming players - not a very low risk option even in hindsight. Could argue that Taylor could've cleared but...

Re: Ian Evatt

It’s one of the things about being football minnows. We love the club, we love it when we do well, when we have a good cup run, when there appears to be stability. If a manager is obviously excellent (in my opinion we have a superb manager in several respects), if a player is capable of playing at ...

Re: Jamie Philpot signs

Luke had some decent moments for us and was competent whether he started or if he came on from the bench. He is also not without technical skills. I sort of got the impression that IE's teams had started to evolve a bit beyond his automatic inclusion though injuries etc. may have played a role. What...

Re: Where will we finish

Macclesfield actually did it on a budget; Solihull are spending loads of money as are Harrogate I would suggest that small budget may of not been quite as small as you think! Anyway would rather turn our attention to us! It's been a breath of fresh air of late. Let's not forget who brought Ian Evat...

Re: Ian Evatt

If this is true, it would be the best thing that's happened to this club in a long long time. You cant deliver sustained performance without laying down foundations and IE has shown he can build effectively based on skill and ability and not just by throwing money at the challenge. Top half finish, ...

In case we think the attendance thing is a peculiarly Barrovian thing - Gate at Barnet tonight in a very important match (in their nice new shiny stadium) against Harrogate Town tonight - 849
