Re: Lack of ball boys and girls ?

Surely if parents were asked to sign a form stating that they agree the club will take no responsibility should a ball land on their son/daughter/child in the cares face then that would be enough to take any liability away from the club? When we were discussing this with the club two/three years ag...

Re: Ground Maintenance Area. Sort Code - 15 10 00. Acc Num - 23114065. Ref - 704573807

Good turnout today (ten) considering we never “advertised” it as we thought the weather would’ve been against much outdoor work being taken on. Couple of signs went up in the reception car park and the ground was completely picked of litter once again. The soak-away toilet in the Asda corner of the ...

Re: BARROW V Yeovil match thread

Said exactly the same. Definitely an improvement as we didn’t look like conceding whenever they had a free kick or corner as we have done in previous games (might have something to do with Yeovil being quite average though) Taylor was MotM in my opinion, Brown did ok though. Wasn’t it great to see ...

Re: BARROW V Yeovil match thread

Looks like Taylor will be keeping that centre half position for the foreseeable future. Said exactly the same. Definitely an improvement as we didn’t look like conceding whenever they had a free kick or corner as we have done in previous games (might have something to do with Yeovil being quite ave...

Re: Lack of ball boys and girls ?

I think it might be something to do with health and safety. A suggestion was made that if one of them gets injured by a flying ball the club would be liable. That’s exactly it....we suggested various options to “protect” the ball boys/girls two years ago but it always got knocked back. One excellen...

Re: Garry McFarlane RIP

I’d known Gary for nearly thirty years through the Bay Horse, pool and football and even when getting shouted at/a bollocking for some obscure reason you still couldn’t help but smile. A lovely lad.

The terraces will definitely be missing a character.

RIP Gary.

Eldson Granite Hird

Barry Rooney Taylor Kay

Dyson Harrison Quigley

Out of what we know we have, Eldson has to be given a chance after what we’ve seen happen to the defence so far this season. Possibly find a place in the starting 11 for Hardcastle though.

Re: Stockport v BARROW match thread

For 80 minutes that was very uncomfortable listening... Must be time to give Eldson a start, it can’t be much worse surely. For most of that game it sounded like they could score with every attack, we simply can’t keep conceding goals like this. At the other end, it’s all very well saying how quick ...

Just a quick thank you to the lady or gentleman who won 3rd prize in a recent raffle and very kindly donated it to the GMA kitty. Once again & as always, it’s really appreciated that people donate to the maintenance fund like this. An “unadvertised” visit today as the forecast so was bad meaning we ...

Re: Toilets

I really don’t understand the problem, if you want a [SwearFilter] and to be able to wash your hands (totally right them facilities should be there btw) go to the porta-loos on the steelworks end or the toilets behind the pop side. There’s even been two extra toilets provided on the old west terrace...

I must be in the minority that actually likes it.
Creates a little bit of atmosphere.
Don’t mind it one bit at the beginning of a match...I’ve heard worse. Got to admit - not a fan of music after a goal though.

Many thanks to the gentleman who won 3rd place in Trusts recent 1901 draw who then donated his winnings to our GMA kitty. It was used to buy ourselves a new electric drill as our old one was fast running out of usefulness - and life. A fantastic gesture & greatly appreciated by all the lads & lasses...

Re: Toilets

I’m pretty certain the new fan zone will have toilets built in - which will then allow the porta-loos to be moved behind the pop side (I think) The old west terrace area would benefit from a few more cubicles though. As others have said, the porta-loos were open behind the steelworks end and there’s...

Re: Barrow v Harrogate

That was as poor as we’ve been since Evatt came here, second half especially. I don’t know what the problem was with getting a bigger more mobile CH in (I know, all teams are after them) but this pairing isn’t working - and the only other option obviously doesn’t figure in IE’s plans. It’s all well ...
