Re: BARROW V Solihull match thread

Last 20 played at walking pace - most casual three points we'll ever pick up. Was Solihull's only shot the one that flew over in injury time? I can't think of a worse performance by a visiting side in recent years.

Re: prediction v solihull saturday

Still don't think we've completely cut out defensive frailties, and Solihull forwards could have a field day. Could be 1-4.

Re: Evatt explains Hindle situation in NWEM

Which is fair enough. He looked like he wasn't arsed in pre-season, and when he did come off the bench in one of the recent games he was useless. Is he even that good? Only scored three in 2019 and five since last October - I personally thought he was well below the standard needed the last few mont...

Re: Matty Eldson

Matt Eldson is the man that he brought in on a two year deal and he needs to be back as soon as his loan is up, with a point to prove and and let’s see him competing with Granite and Hird with Taylor in front of the Central defenders. Instead of talking about a replacement, what about a bit of supp...

There are cries of "we need a striker", but we don't create in the vicinity of the goal..
There were 3 or 4 inviting crosses tonight that a decent striker could've attacked at the near post. We are missing a poacher.

Re: BARROW V Hartlepool match thread

Hard to score when you only have 10 men. I'm sure someone will disagree, but Harrison may as well have stayed at home. Some poor changes by Evatt didn't help us push for a goal, and woeful defensive mistake for the goal. Stonewall penalty missed by the ref again, which, if given, could have made it ...

Re: Photos of ground developments

GMA is a workshop! You seem to take some strange satisfaction in clubs with proud histories having financial difficulties. All very odd. Sold for a pound no sympathy obviously not a sensible buyer and the price has been paid. I know you're probably on the wind-up, but you realise football is more t...

Re: Lack of ball boys and girls ?

Why not have the substitutes on trampolines and they can catch any balls that go astray?

Re: Chesterfield FC (A) match thread

What do you want him to say? What he's actually going to do to sort it rather than just repeating the team's shortcomings, which we can see for ourselves. To be fair not sure if he's ever been asked the question. You want him to detail his training plans and tactical changes in the wake of a footba...

Re: Chesterfield FC (A) match thread

Evatt challenged Adam in last night's post-match interview when Adam asked if we needed more defenders. Evatt asked if he thought we had defended badly and said, in his (Evatt's) opinion, that we defended ok but conceded from two mistakes - a silly challenge for the penalty and a header that Joel s...

It should really have been left for Rooney to tap in, but you can't blame a striker for having a swing at it.

Regarding the crowds, very honest interview here from Boreham Woods chairman about their low attendances...... https://fanbanter.co.uk/boreham-wood-concerned-by-their-low-attendances/ Wow. Sounds like the poor Chairman is bordering on the suicidal. Looking at the list of improvements recently made ...

Re: BARROW V Yeovil match thread

First half was ruined because our players couldn't figure out how to play with the wind. It was actually getting embarrassing how many long balls went way over Dyson's head. Thought Hardcastle played really well, but the game bypassed Greaves a bit. Nobody had a bad game though. Also, the cut back f...
