Gateshead officially been demoted to the league below at the AGM so Aldershot get a reprieve
... and consequently Oxford City's move from National South to National North has been cancelled,( which will no doubt please some clubs who really are in the geographical north ;) )

Re: Players linked thread

Can he play football - ie bring the ball out of defence and make a good pass? That would be IE's main consideration I think.

I believe we are close to signing utility defender, Stephen Brogan, on a short-term deal.
It worries me that he has appeared on TV with the Chuckle Brothers. ;)

Would you say he's a 'big' name?
McNulty? He's definitely 'big'! Sub for Tranmere today when they won the Division 2 playoff but don't know if they are keeping him.
I have heard Wayne Curtis name mentioned several times recently.

Re: Dan Jones

I thought the Evatt comments in the NWEM article was interesting. He said he had wanted to extend Jones's contract last October but Casson had not agreed. Evatt also stressed the importance of investing in future assets to help make the club sustainable.

Seems ridiculous to have gave him a 3 year deal considering how injury prone he is.
You never know, someone might even have thought of that and put a get out clause in the contract 😉

Don’t want to interfere, so the OP update this with our current squad?
Thanks Chris :)

Re: Morgan Penfold

I can see signs of the ‘negative mindset’ that Evatt sometimes complains about. Who is to say he is intended as a first choice, 20+ goals striker? Evatt wants a squad of 22, so perhaps he is an investment, to be coached and developed, initially a pact impact sub?

Re: BARROW V Hartlepool match thread

Odd because the brief clip on official site is credited to Matt Dodd, so there must be an official video somewhere. He filmed the game but probably hasn't had time to edit them. I believe he won't be doing highlights next year. No criticism intended, we are very grateful for the quality of the cove...

Re: Gateshead v Barrow match thread

In the first half hour our football was superb, some of the passing was sublime, Gateshead were chasing shadows. It's a pity Rooney's free kick hit the bar, a hat trick would have been nice to see. The second half was poor, we never had a shot on target and we gave them chances to get back into the ...

Apparently they're not on YouTube; I must have dreamt it! They are on the official website though.

They're available on YouTube and on the official website, but only since this morning.
Have you got a link to the Youtube one? The one on the official site only seems to be a brief highlights 90 seconds or so and no goal.

Re: New Contracts: 2019/20

When Evatt signed last summer we were told it was 2 years what has changed. Perhaps the board have realised what a good asset Ian is to the club and for the sake of stability (and to try and ward off any potential offers from elsewhere although these will surely come at some point) they have offere...

For those of us who can't load Twitter links, are we going to get a video of highlights?
