Not at all. Barrow seem to perk up every time he posts a criticism.

Re: Braintree

It was frustration that made me post the comments as i have passion for the club and want them to win everygame so pleased to win shows the team have the desire to win well done now for 3 points tuesday night. And there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. I felt just the same after the opening be...

Re: Ebbsfleet v Barrow

These are the games we need to win if we are to stop up. About time we looked at Boyes signing another contract, can see clubs sniffing in January I'd be amazed if he signed another contract. I doubt if he would have signed the last one if he had realised Cook and Macreth were going to leave. He'll...

Re: macclesfield v barrow

I think too many people on here like to have a pop if you dont agree with them they resort to name calling its pathetic if thats how you seen the game then why cant you say so without getting abuse. Sadly, it's the same on all football message boards. You have a section of diehards who never view a...

Re: Barrow v Alfreton thread

Starting with one striker at home is a joke. Rutherford is a joke. Subbing Owen was a joke. The attendance was a joke. Our defending was a joke. We're in the deepest [SwearFilter] we've been in since 1999 and some massive decisions need to be made at boardroom level before it's too late to salvage ...

Re: As it stands

There are more than onough local young players the trouble is they are all at other clubs academies, something we can't afford :( The point I'm making is that Barrow AFC can't go to the local leagues and pull out a team capable of competing in the Conference whereas the Rugby can (and in fact have!...

Re: As it stands

The only good thing about the rugby is they have a shed load of locals so its easier to get sponsors/fans in They have shed loads of locals because they're playing at a much lower rugby level than Barrow AFC are at a football level. There aren't and never have been enough local players good enough ...

Re: Woking - Barrow match thread

From the highlights, Barrow looked a lot better than I had gathered from previous comments. In fact, I wouldn't think Hurst (who I like a lot as a keeper) would be very happy about letting the first 2 goals beat him. Near post free-kick and looping header from a long way out shouldn't really beat a ...

Re: As it stands

Us discussing it on here is both harmless and useless in equal measure. Football clubs don't listen to fans very often. They like to pretend that they do but on big issues, they don't. It irritates me when people make out like we shouldn't be discussing the clubs problems on here and even worse, su...

Re: Woking - Barrow match thread

45 mins of second half football ruined what would have been a perfect day. The woking stewards at the end let themselves down for no reason other than that very friendly people. Ruthers was [SwearFilter] this could be his last season with us if he doesn't find some consistancy. 3 points against Alf...

Harvey played last season and struggled to get into the team. You have a point re Hunter who I haven't seen yet but will be able to judge early on at Woking.

Re: Season Prediction

A very tough season ahead IMO. When I watched Barrow last season there were obvious weaknesses in defence and a lack of creativity in midfield but they carried a threat in Macreth, Cook and Boyes. 2 of those players have now gone (because other clubs recognise their ability). I'll be amazed if the p...

Re: Luxury Accommodation

A nice, placid tarn? Luxury. Chris King used to make us stand under a streaming cold waterfall in the middle of winter.........etc. I never got the waterfall treatment, it was Low Water tarn on Coniston Old Man when I was in the first form and in my case it was Bill Shepherd rather than Chris King!...

Outstanding player at Conference level. One of only 2 or 3 of the younger Barrow players with the potential to play in the Football League.
