Re: Maidstone

Suffolk Blue full marks for making the trip to Holker Street. I didn't realise southern based fans were regulars at home games I thought you only did the "down south" circuit.

Re: Half way stage of the season.

Just checked after 23 games last season we had 25 points and were occupying 18th place. Woking who of course got relegated had an impressive 33 and were in 12th spot.

Half way stage of the season.

Tomorrow will be our 23rd League game of a 46 match campaign.

We currently have 25 points so can reach the half way stage with a maximum of 28. Does anyone have the stats for how this campaign compares with others in the National League ?

Re: FA Trophy Draw

Such is the way the modern game works these days, the sides going for promotion tend to rest players in the Trophy. So if we get the likes of a Salford, Fylde, Wrexham it might not be as bad as it first seems.

Aldershot -extra time

Nice to see that this Saturday's opponents Aldershot FA Cup match tonight with Bradford City has gone into extra time. Hopefully it won't tire them out too much for the weekend. One can only but hope, ha

Re: New ownership structure

Good luck to the new board. As a matter of interest if the Trust are going to spend 50K to get a 10% stake in the club how much stake does each new board member control?

Re: Five Year Plan

A new purpose built stadium could also incorporate a hotel which would help fund the development. The best of it is the former Brady's ? depot adjacent to Holker Street would be an ideal location. Who owns all of that area?

Re: Five Year Plan

Surely if any ground share came about the way forward would be to sell Holker Street and Craven Park and move to a new purpose built stadium which would have plenty of car parking and conference facilities.

Re: Five Year Plan

Are we ever going to find out who was the person Paul Hornby said wanted to buy the club outright ? If he or she has got the financial clout surely it's worth considering?

Re: 50 Years Ago Today: Ref Scores Barrow's Winner

One final post today. I've had far too much time on my hands. A Barrow fan called Ray Johnston keeps posting on the Torquay United site or he did until he was banned. Basically turns every Torquay United thread into a Barrow thread. Wound up the Gulls fans something rotten. Ray who ever you are, you...

Re: 50 Years Ago Today: Ref Scores Barrow's Winner

It's the Mayflower Stand that has been knocked down. But it's confusing watching on TV because the camera angle is now on the Lyndhurst side. Green Army. Ha

Re: 50 Years Ago Today: Ref Scores Barrow's Winner

Tomahawk Kid I've seen a lot of Argyle memorabilia over the years, the most notable was of course when Pele played at Home Park in a prestigious friendly for Santos against the Pilgrims in the 1970's but I've never seen that handbook you've mentioned Another Barrow Plymouth connection is we signed a...

Re: 50 Years Ago Today: Ref Scores Barrow's Winner

Thanks for that Stu1 and Steelworks End. The club missed a PR trick by not getting some of the players involved in that game back for a 50th anniversary celebration. It would have got loads of national Media coverage.
