Re: Furness Select

We don't NEED to beat anyone in pre-season. Matter of opinion but if you keep getting beaten against lesser sides hardly builds confidence . We played a lot of good football last season and if it had not been poor finishing in the final third we would have been higher up the table. Wins would indic...

Re: Furness Select

Furness select have won previously which proved the area has talent. Some already play semi pro but it’s surprising a local team can win against higher grade pros. Well done Craig Rutherford and the locals...let’s hope it provides the right response from our professional players Agree we need to be...

Re: SQUAD

Every club forum is the same - fans calling for the manager to re-sign anyone that was half decent for them in the not too distant past. The main reason for it, let's be honest, is because most people only really know about the players that have played for their club. I’m really pleased with the bu...

Re: SQUAD

Very rare that we have a team sorted so early in the season all looks good.
Now up to the fans to support the team.
Please can we gave a run in the FA Cup and get drawn away to one of the lesser teams in the Premier League like Liverpool,Man Utd or City

Re: Non League Newspaper

“It’s 100 per cent mentality. You can’t come in here with small club syndrome. You have to put demands on the players and change expectations. You have to foster an addiction to winning” Absolutely love hearing these words from the Manager. The fans and whole club mentality has to match the ambitio...

I believe we are close to signing utility defender, Stephen Brogan, on a short-term deal.
It worries me that he has appeared on TV with the Chuckle Brothers. ;)
Plus since 2011 he has only 156 non league games under his belt

Re: Players linked thread

I don't think Bennett or Williams would want to take such a drop in wages to fit into our budget. On the other hand I don't know what our budget is for the forthcoming season. Who knows both came from lower league to Barrow and were spotted they may think they could achieve something with Barrow an...

Re: Morgan Penfold

Sorry to rain on your parade Pedro but if my ageing memory serves me Withe was offered a contract but had already decided to go to South Africa where he was spotted and returned to play for Wolves et al and England. On the subject of Morgan, Ian Evatt has said that we don't just shoot arrows and sig...

Re: Morgan Penfold

In Evatt we trust and all that but I dread to think the stick certain previous managers would have got for making a signing with a similar goal scoring record We had a Millionaire in charge do could supposedly pay money in the early days We have to trust the Manager but it also shows he wants to bu...

Re: Update from the chairman

We seem to have a plan and very proactive which is good.
Let's hope for a good start to next season and a decent FA cup run to boost the bank balance

Re: Players linked thread

15 is still better than top goal scorer Jack Hindle (12) got this year. I am not saying I would have Bennett back - players returning to a former club do not always produce the goods and his wage expectations may well be higher than we are willing to pay, but it is a better record than what we have...

Re: No escaping to soccer bar at HT next season

No brainer- but as everyone has said, our beer sales have to work too Yes takes to long to get served my mate doubles up ,still a rush. Why not introduce a pre order drinks . Order and pay online. or some otherway. Drinks can be ready for the exchange of the sales voucher. Will increase sales if do...

Re: Thank You

I've listened to you while in Asia, Central and South America it's really good that local radio commentary can be heard when traveling.
BBC knockers take note ,private stations would do nothing like this.
Do not know you Adam but you seem a natural and keep up the good work.
Thanks
