21's start again tonight

Post by Big E » Fri Jan 11, 2019 4:01 pm

The unbeaten 21's start again tonight in a 'home' fixture at dallam v Ribbleton, 19:10 ko.

Cant help but feel they have missed a trick with the blank weekend to play this at HS. Would have been a good one to get the club open and a few folk in the ground.

Are they allowed to switch venues? Sometimes leagues are fussy about sticking to one nominated home ground so that everybody plays under the same conditions.

Away team wouldn’t agree to a switch surely baring in mind how much easier it will be for them to get to Milnthorpe?

It's probably the most exciting thing to happen in Milnthorpe since someone stole the cash machine again the other day.

Usual ones mark, young Tom dawson at 16 looks a good prospect, but a solid performance all round.

Not quite Geo, according to VisitmilnthorpeIdareyou.com the current top 5 exciting things to happen in Milnthorpe are as follows:

1. Apprehension of ‘Jigsaw Murderer’ Buck Ruxton (1935)
2. Installation of 4- way traffic lights (1949)
3. Someone stealing the the cash machine (2018)
4. Someone stealing the cash machine again the other day (2019)
5. Barrow U-21s 7 v 0 Ribbleton U-21s

Daft question but why do the Under 21's play at Milnthorpe?

Was part of an agreement for them to be allowed in the league, easier for sides to travel to there instead of barrow. Hopefully this will change once established

Hows the lad doing who signed for the first team from the under 21s ? Will we see him get any game time this season ?
