A great shame we didn't have the Newby boys as this manager would have made something of them. Elliot has scored 6 goals from midfield for Chorley and was player of the year while Alex has now got 14. Both local boys who I would guess would have progressed uner Ian Evatt as they seem to be doing at Chorley.

Totally agree. The loss of a admittedly talented but ultimately temporary resource like Kemy doesn't really compare to the waste of what might have been years of the Newbys. It also addresses the comments elsewhere about the strength and size of our core squad.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but it does show how poorly focused we were on developing our own resources particularly under Cox in what was just a succeed-or-bust dash for the Football League. Doesn't mean that either or both of the Newbys have what it takes at full NL level of course. But I agree that Evatt would've found out pretty quickly.

It’s very easy to say the Newbys would have done well under Evatt but you can’t guarantee it; he might not have selected them either

Did Kemy ever sign for anyone else yet?

If I had a mate as an agent who due to his incompetence prevented me from earning for my family for 3 months, he wouldn’t be a mate anymore.
Regardless I really hope Kemy gets sorted soon, such a waste. (ideally with us)

Nope, despite claims from his agency that he was due to sign with a club approximately a week after leaving us.

Shame really, we could do with him back rather than just not playing anywhere

On his Twitter feed yesterday he stated " Wrexham-Barrow is gonna be a good game." Seems we are still at the back of his mind.Interesting that some Wrexham fans on RP are suggesting he is the answer to their midfield problem, and a free agent.

Absolutely bizarre situation with Kemi. He's like the footballing equivalent of Brexit.
Stood behind Ray Wilkie for years. Best education I ever had.

Bizarre situation. That boat has sailed for us long ago, but very surprised he has not got a club.

It's what the agent wanted for the agent. He has wasted another season now, with lack of match fitness and it might be the end. Such a shame

His agent is one of his best friends which might explain the situation. Shame though - a half decent footballer almost finished. Who’s in charge of his career? Him or his agent?
