2000 home attendance

For all things Barrow AFC. Keep discussions civil and fair, we're all Barrow aren't we!

2000 home attendance

Post by AugustusCorpa » Fri Nov 08, 2019 10:04 pm

Our home attendances are gradually on the increase. Can we get over 2000 into HS on Boxing Day? Will it happen before then?
If we win at Notts County maybe we’ll do it against Barnet. What do you think?

Be close if we win Vs Notts County.
Noticed earlier on the twitter already 100+ in the hospitality rooms.

If we are in the top six and still showing our current form we could have 3 in March and the Boxing Day game.

If (if) we get a positive result against Notts County and we don’t get a 2k + gate at the following home game the Barrow football public want their collective arses kicking. The club cannot continue pouring money into this team on gates of - 15/1600.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Unless we have an absolute disaster over the next 6 weeks or so I’d be disappointed if we “only” get 2000 in on Boxing Day

Except for fa cup games...when was the last time we had a home crowd of 2k or more?

When was the last time that we were serious contenders for promotion to League Two?

We will get 2000+ on Boxing Day if we continue the excellent form, but don't expect many from Fylde.

I already know of a couple that were wanting to come to the next home game, without me having to twist their arm!
Popular side since '03.

We used to get 2k + v Lancaster in the Unibond, should be no bother this season.

Absolutely this...

If the public don't respond, what must be the thoughts of IE and the team?
They deserve a 3k plus the way things are heading!!
Possibly a chance of league football what more do people want

‘The public’ won’t have a clue what’s going on at Holker Street as there is zero publicity for the club about the town. There is however a snazzy shop for Barrow Raiders in Scott St and poster advertising about the town for their fixtures.

Our BoDs are extremely low profile and this is reflected in the club’s lack of presence in the media and the wider community. We have a decent product to sell - but no salesmen.
We'll keep the blue flag flying here...

We’re active on social media, I imagine the facebook/twitter/instagram accounts reach more sets of eyeballs than a few posters around town.

Granted that won’t be noticeable to gentlemen of a certain age....no offence WG.
