Taking the catering in house is another great idea; this board really deserve Furness to get behind them and get through the gates

I’ve just nipped down to HS with my son to buy a shirt and Ian gave us both the full guided tour. What those guys have done in such a short space of time is truly amazing!
You’ve all put some serious graft in! Well done to all involved.!
Oh and as a side note, shirt sales must be going well as they’ve sold out of XL home shirts (for the second time I believe) and are waiting for extra stock lol

Pleasure mate, the look on your lads face (and yours 😁) at some of the improvements make it all worthwhile.

A tiring day for everyone, especially IRVJ & our sparks - who are probably still there.

The town & floating supporters just need to back what the owners, the Trust and volunteers have tried to do to the club over the summer.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

The physio room all ready for action (hopefully not too often..) our main job of the close season, many thanks to the NSC for paying for this work to be carried out.

In the left hand corner is the ice machine supporters off here contributed to.

The home shower room upgrade - thanks to the Trust for paying for this, it really is a huge improvement on what was there.

Brilliant stuff. Not long left and Chris one of the sparks was still going, trying to get power into the huts (I think)

Wouldn't know where to start with folk have worked so hard, there's people been down there all day every day for the last fortnight or so. Huge respect to them.

From our point of view in the Trust, we haven't the finished shop but we have water, leccy, fridges units in and stock to sell. We should have 19-20 memberships and 1901 leaflets. And that's down to everyone who helped and everyone who joins, or even just puts a pound in through the raffle.

See you all tomorrow.

I should’ve mentioned in this post that (unfortunately) we can’t by any means claim credit for most of what’s gone on to improving the building as Kris Wilkes’s lads have been there for weeks working alongside us, and they’ve done an outstanding job of what they’ve done. I’d hate to think of what the building would’ve looked like without their help.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

It is looking resplendent, plenty pulling together when they can to help out, some doing more than their fair share. Just imagine what the ground could look like two or three seasons further on down the line. It all takes money and plenty of hours being given up by some truly gifted and committed people. They won’t be able to undertake all the planned improvements and you might not be able to help labour wise in terms of graft but you can support what’s taking place by purchasing 1901 lottery membership until the end of the month or by gifting to the GMA account. Nothing is wasted financially it all goes to fund improvements. :scarf: :scarf:
