Was surprised to see Harrison again in a Barrow shirt. Let’s see what happens there.

1-1 at H/T, Defensive error by our trial list and then Scott Quigley follows a decent free kick into square things up. Click on the link to see the goal.
Wasn't an error, he tried to cut a cross out and it went in, if he didn't, Blackburn would have scored anyway in my opinion.

Went early today to have a look round and buy an away shirt. Impressed with the work done and the game was a good workout. Joel's distribution was a bit wayward in the first half but all in all a decent game for a friendly.
Wilson coming off could spell the end for him in a Barrow shirt and I was surprised to see Byron trialing. He looked lean and fit and in my opinion would be a good addition to the squad as I think Evatt can get the best out of him.

Byron gave a good 5 minutes to me and my son, shook his wee hand (George is only 3) and George loved it.. he said he would love to be back here and seemed fairly convincing too.. good luck to the lad and let's see what happens? Great first half, more than matched them and great football again, hopefully a sign of things to come. Great credit to the Blackburn fans for making an effort but most of all, great credit to the guys n gals who have worked tirelessly to give us all a stadium and facilities to be proud of. General feedback from the travelling fans that I spoke to were "great set up" "tidy ground" great pitch" and most importantly.."friendly place" proud to be barrow..

Overall a good workout. Shame about having to go down to 10 in the second half which was ludicrous.

Has to be the end of wilson, he can't be relied upon.

Of the unnamed trailists I'm not sure any other them looked up to it to me.

The score was irrelevant; the performance much more important and I thought there is a lot to be enthusiastic about. We struggled in the first 10 minutes, but then worked things out and played really well. Never forgetting they are a Championship side, with many of their first team players on the pitch. Granite and Angus stood out for me. In the second half out completely changed team struggled against a pacier and more skilful Blackburn.
All in all I was impressed given this was the first game. Come 3/8 the competition for places in the starting lineup will be fierce.

Couldn't make it to the game so can't comment on his performance, but the last two years of Byron Harrison's career should be enough to put us off (and any other club at this level). Before that he was arguably one of the best strikers in this division - after the injury, he was awful. Then Sutton decided not to take up the option on signing him permanently because he wasn't up to it, and he's just been released by Barnet with their fans almost unanimous in claiming he was one of the worst players they've ever had.
Nothing about having Harrison on trial really makes sense.

As my fellow supported remembered yesterday Byron was at Chesterfield when Evatt was there so they may be a fan of each other. I thought he looked good, put himself about, won some headers and looked comfortable on the ball. Where was new-signing right back Bradley Barry? Also who was no. 21 big centre back in the first half and the left back in the second half? Any ideas? There was one occasion when the left back absolutely skinned their right back and I thought wow, but then that was it!
