Miller has just been released by Port Vale under a cloud of troubled behavior, which I'm aware of but won't put out in the public domain. A very decent player at this level if the gaffer can do what no other manager has been able.

I would take him at Barrow no question about it.
Evatt strikes me as a guy that don't take no crap so should be able to sort him!

His Wikipedia entry doesn’t make pretty reading.

Ricky Miller was not one of the triallists on Saturday, there was 3 triallists a centre half, a left back and Byron Harrison

Have to say that’s what I thought....
Harrison did ok
Centre back not bad but nothing special
Left back had some pace, but otherwise nothing special....

pretty much agreed with that, although i'd much rather have either that centre back (who did well with the ball in the air) or the speedy full back than Wilson in our squad.
Bring it on!!!

Think he’s been unlucky as never really been fully fit since he joined.
I think Elsdon has a lot to prove too. Doesn’t look quick enough to me; again, could be injury/general fitness thing. He’s been unlucky with injury as well.
I know it’s very early days, but not sure what our first choice back 4 or 5 will be v Wrexham.
The midfield looks very promising with Waddington, Hardcastle and Greaves buzzing about.

it's a long time since i've been unsure what our best midfield will be either - but with those 3 youngsters plus Taylor and Rooney i have no idea who will be our regular starters a month into the season. A nice problem to have for once.
Bring it on!!!
