Interesting interview. When we get to league action, apart from beating the 'good' teams, we really need to improve on beating the ones we 'should' beat!
Our record last season against the bottom teams was excellent.

It’s our home form that’s been poor for the last few seasons. That needs to improve.

Exactly like last year!

Early days but he needs to get some inspiration from somewhere as I think it will be a make or break season for him. Hope he makes it but not so sure. I know they'd lost but no sparkle or emotion in his voice in that interview. Could be a long hard season!

If Kay or Greaves had put away one of their easy chances, nobody would really be having a moan. Over reaction to a lethargic friendly performance.

Has anyone got team-sheets to put on here from both sides?

Give over. Massive over reaction
Yes poor, but they have been back a week with quite a few new lads...
Evatt wont put up with last night's show.
Players will go before Evatt.....
Why is it a make or break season?
On what evidence do you make that assumption?

Maybe the kick in the pants some needed. But it’s surely all about building momentum for August 3rd!

Furness select have won previously which proved the area has talent.
Some already play semi pro but it’s surprising a local team can win against higher grade pros.
Well done Craig Rutherford and the locals...let’s hope it provides the right response from our professional players

Agree we need to beat Workington.
Listened to IE and asked about the defeat and quality of opposition, he said result was a 1 off and they wanted it more and we would beat them the majority of times, thing is we did not so we need to put Workington to the sword .
We can hardly be jaded

We don't NEED to beat anyone in pre-season.

+1 results count for nothing. Just a better performance than Tuesday will do me.

Matter of opinion but if you keep getting beaten against lesser sides hardly builds confidence .
We played a lot of good football last season and if it had not been poor finishing in the final third we would have been higher up the table.
Wins would indicate this problem has been addressed
