Music over PA

Post by Ziggerzagger » Sat Aug 10, 2019 5:46 pm

The choice of music over the PA is poor,it’s like going into a 1960’s or 70’s dancehall.Playing “glad all over” every week is depressing, come on Darren H please get it sorted and put more of a feel good factor back into the ground when the musics on.Few of us all having a craic about it today and all of the same opinion,it’s like tuning into Radio Cumbria, you ll be announcing sheep prices next.

I agree 100%. I hate music after goals but it’s somehow crept in.

As for pre match, I don’t know what it was about 3 minutes before they came out the tunnel but it was absolutely terrible.

Glad all over is Evatt’s choice
The gladiator theme is the choice of the club

It’s not the choice, any music after goals- in the bin for me. I’d rather we had someone banging a drum and that is saying something.

Is that what it was Gladiator theme? Awful

Well it is the choice because Evatt wants it
What does it really matter?
Seriously?

I agree 100% with you Adam. In the grand scheme of things it does not matter at all.Let them get on with it.

Agreed. Some people just like to complain.

Also, Womaniser by Britney Spears was being played pre-game. I wouldn't say that fits the criteria billed in the OP.

Yes, the music's not for me either. "Glad All Over" has too much of a premature celebratory feel to it for my liking. I never feel particularly glad all over when we are just the one goal up, and it was more like Shakin' All Over as we were coming under the cosh in the later stages and the nerves were on edge. With the wind, rain, and opposition pressure increasingly building against us in the second half I reckon "Let's Hang On (To What We've Got)" seemed more suitable.

Glad all over was played at every Blackpool home game at the start of each half and after a goal when Evatt played there. Guessing he'll keep it going for the foreseeable future

I must be in the minority that actually likes it.
Creates a little bit of atmosphere.

I’d prefer something off Captain Beefhearts first album

Im not that arsed but the line "I'll never be blue" is a bit odd for a bluebirds supporter. Maybe it's OK in tangerine.

I'de let the fans choose the music for £50

Absolutely. Music after goals is cringeworthy. Are we not capable of celebrating a goal without the accompaniment of some moronic dirge?

Presumably they were playing "We're on the road to nowhere" on Tuesday against Harrogate.
