Not a bad idea, Graham. At least we'd get some decent mild in the Crossbar (although the big lad would probably scoff it all ;) ).
No chance, he's back in management

On the subject of McEvillys facebook page, gotta laugh at one guys pure and simple comment: "WHY DON'T YOU TRY"
I think you are wrong,i thought he was released by Everton and had lost his way and lost interest in football.
Is that why he's playing for us then Stu

He could score from the kick off after three and a bit seconds and then go off.

A lazy fat [swear filter] ! And over paid.

Seem to remember him playing one/a couple of games for us then getting sent off and sitting out the rest of his time on the bench and getting paid for it!

According to BBCRC's twitter, Bayles has said that Evil was playing with a broken leg when he was with us last season.

Either he's a right hard [SwearFilter] or it's a blinding excuse.

Looking at him, it's possibly both.

The tweet says McEvilly declares himself fit. I want a second opinion.

Truth? Or PR to grease the way for a less, for want of a better word, hostile return?

I'm happy to judge him on how he performs over the defining moments of the rest of this season, rather than looking back. Some consider his better days departed, but would probably agree a fit and firing McEvily would be an asset in our predicament.

One does question why he was languishing down the pyramid at Marine, though? Due to fitness concerns, now corrected with game time down there?

Let's trust Dave and Daz's judgement.

I agree.

Although saying he was carrying an injury is one thing. Specifying it as a broken leg(!!!) is one hell of an audacious bit of PR!

Surely, if that was the case, you'd go with a lesser injury such as pulled hamstring or groin or ligament problems. Not a broken [swear filter] leg!

I admit last season I wasnt his biggest fan with his attitude etc while with us BUT!!! I certainly would welcome him back to the club.

Yes its a gamble but at the end of it, its a sign that D&D will try anything to keep us in this league. If we get the mcevilly of the end of last season I'm very sure D&D will cut ties and say no thank you (like they did at the end of last season)

If however it is true and Lee has got himself back to full fitness then what a player we will have at the club, he is a strong player and is also a prolific goal scorer, you only have to look at his record over the years and you see that.

him and jase upfront will get us goals and having the option of chadwick there aswell, I would certainly feel confident of staying up, We just need a player who can create the chances and we will be in a much better position.

True fella.

Suppose it could have been an at the time, undiagnosed, stress fracture of the leg? He was supporting a fair bit of bulk after all ;)

Usually caused by "over-training and over-use..."

Aye.

Not like it's not happened before.

I vaguely remember a guy a few seasons ago, he was playing in the Ryman and was the league's top scorer after about 4 games with 5 goals. Turned out he'd played the last 3 of them with a broken leg, scoring 3 goals!

Three free-headers from corners, more than likely
