Great that we got the win but it was a very disjointed performance. Josh Kay had a poor game and did not fancy it at all when he stepped up for the pen. Missed the second pen because I was sulking on way back to car.
Is this an Everton thing, note hoss disappears early other night :D

Better to win ugly than lose pretty/ so yeah we won

Can’t help feeling that we’ve not used Steve Jennings enough- think he’s class and always seems to perform well

Think we should have started with the 11 who finished against Orient

Whilst it hasn't been a picnic at times, this season has been extremely refreshing. Last season was awful and I was travelling to home and away fixtures through sheer support, rather than actually wanting to go. However, this year has brought back that feel good factor, on the most part. A real credit to IE and the work he has done, bringing in a squad of players and performing well above our expectations.

We largely dominated the game except for a sustained period of pressure fifteen minutes either side of halftime when we invited Aldershot to assert themselves. They knocked on the door enough times and got there just rewards with an equalising goal. Enforced substitutions changed the game Taylor dropping into the back three and the inclusion of Jennings gave us options we hadn't previously had. Credit to Kay in stepping up when others feared to tread for the penalty but I for one was never confident in the outcome. The second penalty that was probably harsh on on our visitors. You have to admire Rooney who manfully took on the duty from the outset, and after scuff gate and other factors despatched the winner with aplomb! Ultimately probly tough on our visitors but we have been on the receiving a bit lately. The officials were poor overall but for both sides. We ride the crest of the wave but fine margins leave our visitors in the doldrums!

Strange game, that one. I hope we get a penalty in the first minute of the next match and miss it (if yesterday is anything to go by) . . . for 80 minutes we were on the beach but the penalty miss seemed to wake everybody up and for the last ten we were stung into action and upped our energy levels enormously. For 80 minutes Aldershot probably deserved at least a point if only for being more up for it than we were. But for the last ten, we showed the gulf between the two teams once we stepped up a gear.

Agreed with several on here over the first penalty . . . I don't want to knock Kay as he's got bags of skill and potential and I want to see him stay in the side but finishing is not his strong point and that's been plain all season. So for him to be taking the penalty was a strange one. For me it had to be Hindle but no complaints as Rooney stuck it away well and kept his nerve.

Reluctant to shoot but a wins a win,at the beginning of the season we would have jumped at the position we are now.

First one wasn’t a penalty so perhaps justice was done! ;)

The Manager complained with never get penalties but then we miss, did we missed a couple already this season
Good result in spite of all the backwards balls ,a better team would have latched onto them.
Created out own pressure ,did hear that Aldershot had said [SwearFilter] Turpin managed Barrow as it was highway robbery .

If IE could hear the [SwearFilter] moaning I had to endure for 90 minutes, no wonder he went off without much happy clapping the crowd. Throughout the build up to the 1st goal, people around me were moaning constantly 'just shoot' 'get it in the box' 'knock it in there' They did of course proceed to cheer a well worked goal and probably spent last season moaning about going long ball. Idiots.
