That'll be final confirmation for Evatt regarding some players I'd imagine.
Yes might as well start off loading players and let U21 play in remaining games
Need to save cash
They are contracted till end of the season, not on pay as you play

Full credit to Dover, who totally out played us second half and thoroughly deserved their win. Direct football with strength and pace. You can’t beat it. Best 45mins of football from an away side at HS this season. We had no answer.

Oh for a direct player with strength and pace like their No7. He had jet heels, what a turn of pace he had!

I don’t like to remind everyone but our home form has been pretty rubbish.

Very good interview with Ian Evatt. Hope Adam or Radio C can post a link on here.

Another odd game at Holker St.
Cruising at 2-0 up, then a substitution when Jeffrey came on and changed the game. Made one, scored one with devastating pace.
Somehow when the first Dover goal went in, you knew we’d lose 3-2. Barrow dominated them at times, but they worked us out and were the better team in the second half.
The wind was a big factor (like it often is at this level), and they coped with/used it well.
We seem to play quite well up to the opposing penalty area, then run out of ideas. On that basis seems to me that not only do we need a reliable striker, we need players that can create more chances for others - it’s not as though we hit the woodwork consistently, or an opposing goalie makes great saves all the time - we don’t seem to make enough gilt edged scoring chances that a decent front man would bury. It’s not so much we are missing chances....we aren’t creating enough.

What wind?
We are not as good as people make out. Simple

I don’t think we were cruising at 2-0 and as soon as one went in it was only going one way. You could see it unfolding on the pitch and sense it in the crowd.

Disappointing to say the least after going 2-0. A lot of work to be done. I don't think Philpot is good enough.

Philpot was far from the worst player on show today. There were worse strikers, even.

Sad that our season has sort of fizzled out the way it has!
Lots of hard work going on within the club and will be right throughout the summer. But the players went on holiday that second half. Shame as we took our goals really well and it looked like we were going to put on a show for those that came.
Ian Evatt will not be a happy bunny and rightly so!

2-0 up at home and it “should’ve” be game over. Unfortunately as soon as that first goal went in for Dover it was only going to end one way, we were pretty abysmal after that.

The positive is that result hasn’t harmed our league position and Evatt will have a better idea who needs to be replaced for next season.

Corporate packed out, decent(ish) crowd and we do that, it seems to be the Barrow way!
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Same old story - we are trying to walk it into the net.

Passionate interview with Evatt

Very clear message. 11th is not where he wants to be. “Some fans may be happy with 11th, the board may be happy with 11th, but for me as Manager of this football club, it’s not good enough”
