Still fuming after that display by both sides.First half we ran around like crazy passing went astray gave away free kick they took well and then penalty no complaints about it it was a pen.Equalise well play all the football second half several chances run em ragged and then when even in box try and pass to each other instead of shooting.Opposition were bunch of cheats and spoilers couldn’t jump without putting hands on shoulders of our players and constant shirt pulling of players.Big fellas falling over like fairies at all contact ably assisted by blind referee and god knows what linesman was doing cos not watching the same game as me.
Wood don’t deserve to stay up playing like that and with only 14 fans caring enough to support such crap it would be no loss if they went down.
Very [SwearFilter] off that we didn’t take some of the good chances we created.Hope ref assessors records reflect his poor performance and that he never comes here again.

Terrible first twenty, we were all over the place & it looked like they’d just met each other at 3:00 o’clock. We looked much better when playing ball to feet and their lack of mobility was exposed. Unfortunately poor finishing and not wanting to shoot unless 18 inches from the goal line was always going to give them the result.

Jack H was poor the second half, Josh K was poor for as long as he was on. He hardly ever has an average game, he’s either bad or the best player in the team. Rooney....he’s always busy bollocking other players but he makes more than enough mistakes himself.

Nozzer, MOTM by a mile.

Once again beaten by a team we should’ve been looking to take three points off.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Second half we get plenty of possession but again our default setting in and around the opposition box is to look to pass and we don’t take on enough half chances. All round out of sorts today

Trouble is we're missing some quality forwards and 2 dominant centre backs at the moment it's square pegs in round holes so against well organised teams we will struggle as for Kay yes he struggled but the lad never hides ( why when he gets wide does bartram never take his man on always backwards or sideways).
Need to get rid of all the players who are always injured.
Anyway Evatt will learn off these last few games to prepare for next season !

Puzzling game in many ways. First 20 they were really good - playing a fast pressing game which totally prevented our usual fluid passing. We resorted to long useless balls forward and were completely out of it.
Then a turnaround when we were finally able to move the ball around after about 1/2 hour, and then finished first half very much on top.
Second ½ we were the better team and deserved a draw if not a win.
They were canny. Physical and niggly, a bit like Cox used to play.
Maybe we aren’t quite canny enough....we have battered teams often but just don’t seem to know how to finish them off when we are on top.
Eveyone crying out for a striker - I agree - but also someone to regularly make scoring opportunities for others.
The referee was very poor.

Think Nozzer should be renamed Billy Whizz. He's like lightening with a heart like a lion. Pity he's not one of ours. Never seen him have a bad game...my MOM by a country mile.
Barrow are a little nieve. I don't say cheat, but I do say is to fall over and make the referees make a decision.

One thing for sure is their physio is one hell of a guy. Broken leg one minute..free kick taker the next!
Can't message without mentioning the officials . Saw 4 guide dogs in the car park . Be surprised if he referees at this level again this season

For the first 30 the ball spent more time in the air and we won nothing against a big strong side in Boreham Wood and we couldn't get into any sort of rythm. At 0-2 (no complaints re pen from where I was) I thought that was that but Hindle got us back in the game and I think with our second half performance we definitely deserved something from game.Agree re MOM. He is a useful player. Kay poor today.

I don’t think we deserved anything out of the game. For all our movement around the box we didnt create enough out of it. I don’t recall their keeper flying around making great saves and last ditch clearances off the line.

First 3 home games won, next 18 home games 5 wins, we must sort this poor home form out for next season.

I think we played well in the second half but first half we didnt get going really but were not far off being a decent team we just lack some decent forwards but the effort was there as always. id keep the majority of the team and get rid of brown, wilson, elsdon, and maybe rooney, kay, dixon

Right from the off we got outmuscled today by a more physical side which has been a consistent thing in most defeats this season, we need a couple of ugly beasts in the squad for next season! Small improvment in the 2nd half. Just a bad day at the office, onwards & upwards.

Won't miss the likes of Rooney and Hindle when they're released in a couple of months.
Hindle is easily our most skilful player. Kay, on the other hand, is [SwearFilter] awful at the moment.

We've struggled against sides who 'park the bus' today was no different. Guilty of overpaying, but options are limited when we move the ball too slow, space vanishes and no point giving them heading practise.
Was hoping hardcastle would have been the one one to go past a man, but had an off day. Frustrating day, but we've made massive progress this year. These games will give evatt plenty of food for thought as he plans for next year.
Need to get JT back in midfield as soon as possible.
Still a very young naive side
