Re: Home Attendances
I think many on here are viewing the current situation through rose tinted glasses. I've stopped going due to lack of interest and so have many others - look at the attendances for this season! One season ticket holder on here recently spoke out about NOT re-newing his season ticket for the next. Wh...

Home Attendances
I was looking at the NL North recently. What a promotion fight is ensuing! And it got me thinking... I'm not as fanatical as some Barrow AFC supporters on here (the ageing process possibly being one factor) and have to admit I've always gone to matches to watch both teams - not just The Ziggers ;) A...

Re: If Evatt Goes.
I can't understand why people keep pushing this. Why would any player or manager in the north of England want to come to Barrow if they trained here? We can't afford top end wages in the this division, so if you take what we might offer players in terms of salary. They will probably would rather ta...

Re: If Evatt Goes.
You don't understand why people keep pushing this? Ever heard of loyalty, love of the town, love of the shirt/badge? If you ain't got that - you've got nowt! They're the seeds of success. Leicester City and Huddersfield Town have both proved that a community focused club reaps dividends! Staying in ...

Re: If Evatt Goes.
Yeah - less than 1000 home supporters last night. Hope the new Commercial Manager can bring in some much needed support in the way of sponsorship and other initiatives. The Rugby are averaging well over 1500, through a cracking marketing campaign, with a big focus on kids. Took my little one the ot...

Re: Ian evett linked for rochdale job
I wouldn't put money on it... He's done a superb job! We're playing better football than we have been for some time and we've consolidated our position in the NL when relegation was expected. And he's done this on a very limited budget. Who can blame Rochdale or any other club for approaching him? A...

Re: Eric Harrison RIP
I saw Eric play for Barrow AFC a few times – he was part of the Barrow team that briefly topped the old Div 3 (now Div 2) in 1968. That side, managed by former Leicester City player Colin Appleton, was in my opinion, our finest ever team. They finished 8th from top of Div 3 in the 1967/68 season – o...

Re: Five Year Plan
Aye...but do they have the money? I'm talking BIG money - because that's what the club needs to compete - even in the National League. Clubs survive in this league without BIG money. Just got to run it right. When I say 'compete' I mean for promotion. And it takes BIG money! The top seven should be...

Re: Five Year Plan
Its only a matter of time now before ground sharing will raise its head. Anyone who thinks that them at craven park haven't thought it are kidding themselves. And I'll tell you now, the rugby wont move- it will be the soccer that move to craven park. Either way, the end of the club from what it is ...

Re: New bottle/pie bar.
Asda's next door! Why would any fan be in the ground at 12.00?/6pm? Let me get this right. You'd rather money went into ASDA's coffers than the club's? I'll tell you this: whenever I drive down from Scotland without lunch I'll be heading straight to the pie bar. Well done folks. P.S. I'm not...

Re: New bottle/pie bar.
Not trying to be negative - I applaud the efforts of the people involved.
The club's future isn't looking too rosey at the moment - on or off the pitch.
I just don't think pies are that important in the grand scheme of things.
