Re: To The Board

I felt rather bitter about the departure, but think the board have acted exceptionally well over this. Really proud of how they have conducted themselves. I don’t think it is an understatement to say that this next 3 or 4 weeks are the biggest in the clubs history. And will define the future of the ...

Re: Ian Evatt

I’m absolutely gutted to be honest. I genuinely thought he was different and that there would be some loyalty and he would want to give us a season or two to see what he could achieve. I know that doesn’t exists in modern football and it’s all about the money, and so it has proved again. I guess I w...

That isn’t the case. The 80% is for those who would have been laid off, in order to be retained as employed. As long at they are on pay as you earn, taxation.

Re: Corona

I listened to a debate on the radio a couple of days ago and one person said that there were 10 million cases of TB worldwide in 2017, and in 2018 TB killed 1.5 million people. Over 20% of the cases were in India, but nobody suggested banning travel to India, or group gatherings in India, or screen...

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger
When I was a kid we lived in a cold house with no central heating we played out in the rain and very rarely had coughs or colds
I hear this kind of logic a lot..you were fine, but infant mortality rates were more than twice what they are now!

Re: Water bottle cross contamination

This is really important in team sport. Hand sanitizers in all changing rooms, mouth guarded bottles, etc are a must. I have done a fair bit of research on these ‘marginal gains’

Re: Physio room.

Doesn’t the cross bar have an ice machine? My rugby club had a chest freezer in the physio room and filled a bin bag of crushed ice on Friday night. Much cheaper.

Re: Stadium

FBSS is part of the the full contact address, but the ground has always been known as Holker Street, so that is used when announcing matches. When you say you're attending a match, I'm sure most people would say 'I'm going to the soccer', or I'm going to Holker Street. FBSS stadium is part of the p...
