Re: John..........?

I always remember a bloke who used to shout out " we want a referee " everytime there was a decision that went against us. He seemed a genuine nice guy. He had glasses and used to stand on the Popular Side near the Asda end. I first came across him in the seventies when I went to matches w...

Re: Radio Carlisle

You can't fault the level of coverage we get on Radio Cumbria and I'm sure it's only when it's gone will people appreciate what we once had. The BBC like every other organisation has had to start making cutbacks and it makes you wonder how long a dedicated reporter and co- commentator will be sent t...

Re: The wind

I think the Setanta Shield game with Telford was possibly a semi final tie but I maybe wrong on that ? it was abandoned due to strong winds and when the game was played for a second time it was free entry and hence attracted a crowd of more than two thousand which was a terrific attendance at the ti...

Re: Chief Exec Update

The I-Follow figures are worryingly low, it would be interesting to know how many watched the two EFL Trophy games, against Blackpool and Leeds.

The wind

I never thought I'd start a thread about wind but such is the world we now live in. When I think back to all the matches I attended at Holker Street as a child I can't remember any where the wind had such a huge mpact on the proceedings as it does these days so it got me thinking.. Has it just got w...

Re: Question regarding viewing figures

Thanks Barrowaberdeen for the figures when you see how low they are, it makes you appreciate the size of the task the Board faces in keeping the club solvent during these challenging times.

Do you by any chance have the numbers for the EFL Trophy games ?

Re: Question regarding viewing figures

Barrowaberdeen, Roadrunner I'm genuinely surprised to hear that you don't think this info matters. Surely this is the club's main source of income during these uncertain times. And as has been mentioned earlier on this thread it's the same as giving out an attendance figure. Roadrunner your Gregg's ...

Question regarding viewing figures

It's obvious from reading this forum that a question is asked in the public domain and then the local media or the club respond a few days later. So the question I'd like to throw into the mix is why haven't the club disclosed the IFollow viewing figures for any of their matches so far this season ?...

Re: Platt injury

It always amazes me how no one ever asks David Dunn how long the players that are injured are likely to be missing also when is someone going to ask about the Burns situation? People on here may knock Radio Cumbria's James Phillips but he always comes across as someone who seems to know the full ext...

Re: Vs Leeds under 21s

I was debating about whether to watch tonight but then I thought good job everybody doesn't think that way during the current Covid crisis. So I've gone for the IFollow viewing option and I'm hoping the club will be adding £10,000 to the £10 I've thrown into the mix. Unfortunately I've had to turn t...

Re: Carlisle United vs Barrow AFC Match Thread

When I post I try to find the positives but I can't after that dire performance. We were outplayed in the first half by a side whose only other points had come against a Southend United Youth Team and then we still can't break them down for thirty minutes when they're reduced to ten men. In fairness...

Re: Newport County (A) Match Thread

The great thing about this forum is the passion that comes across from users. I'd much rather read a few posts criticising a performance, even if I don't agree with them, rather than no posts at all. It's great to see so many people caring so much about the club. Has anyone looked at the Harrogate f...

Boyliegladbach thanks for that on second thoughts I seem to recall Salford had similar issues last season.

Re: IFollow

Ive found over the years that most of the IFollow problems are rectified if you close it down and start again. I know that sounds a pretty simple method but it does tend to work on most occasions. The worst thing you can do, is nothing, when a streaming problem crops up. I've found it won't fix itse...
