Re: Ian Evatt

I assume he said goodbye to our players? Was expecting a short statement from to us the fans once appt made.Read his spiel on Bolton but only said “ the timing wasnt ideal as we had just been promoted”I know a lot of people are fed up/angry/disappointed or philosophical about his departure.Just thou...

Re: New Manager....

James Phillips interview with Paul
Hornby on BBCRC immediately after Evatt confirmation (8.45 to 13.20) - our BOD have identified a managerial target and are closing in on an immediate appointment:

Re: New Manager....

Would definitely hope that Rudders remains closely involved in new first team coaching set up. IE has had Rudders sitting on bench alongside him for most of this season and Rudders has led many sessions (inc pre-match) with first team squad, aswell as managing our U23 squad. Has provided an invalua...

Re: New Manager....

What about Craig Rutherford, everyone starts somewhere! Plenty of time To get the correct qualification I'm all for this, yet not going to happen, but be happy if it did Would definitely hope that Rudders remains closely involved in new first team coaching set up. IE has had Rudders sitting on benc...

Re: New Manager....

Luke Garrard a good fit in terms of football philosophy, but probably not a realistic option for two reasons: • Borehamwood are involved in NL play-offs, so unlikely to be willing to potentially leave until their season is over. We can’t afford to hamper pre-season preparations for a month minimum w...

Re: New Manager....

Same goes for me to be honest haven’t seen who the BOD may be looking at but Athertons CV would give most a run for its money and given that we gave the very manager we could be crying over his first break then this could be the best fit. Nothing changes. We are more than just a man. BLUEBIRDS. It ...

Re: Ian Evatt

Biggest concern is this dragging on now. Preparing for first season in L2, unknown territory for the club, the last thing we need is to have delays. Very unsettling for the players as well. FFS how Barrow is this. Exactly put him on gardening leave and get someone in who wants to be here and start ...

Re: New Manager....

We have a team that plays football, imagine just going back to what we saw under Cox, just imagine it, Jeez, please no. Trust me I don't want than either €vo’s ‘possession with a purpose’ footballing philosophy has now been adopted by the club at all levels. Performance Centre coaches are using the...

Re: Ian Evatt

Would like to think that if Bolton do agree to pay the figure upfront (whatever it is), there is financial scope for our BOD to offer IE a further improved contract, to at least give him a decision to make about remaining as our manager. BWFC is clearly a sleeping giant at this level, but from what ...

Re: Decisions being made

Think squads would need a minimum of 4 weeks conditioning. Some of the clubs will have furlough issues. And there will be the thorny issue of payments for testing. So any club wanting to engage in play-offs will have to be willing to part with a minimum of what £60k ? plus whatever the costs are of...

Re: BARROW V Dagenham match thread

Ian Evatt in his radio interview said it was the last day of winter i.e. start of spring. I mentioned this to my wife who said the first day of spring is the twentieth of March and he should stick to football. Anyone got anything for me to argue back or is she correct, again. The start of spring in...
