Another FA Cup blast from the past. I went to that one on a chartered train, We lost 5-0 and had a reserve keeper in goal. I think it was Alan Coglan, who would be 18 or 19 at the time:

With the ending of the game being delayed due to the stoppage and added time Adam Murray needed to get away so Andy Taylor did the post match media. Nothing untoward towards it and not a rarity for an assistant to be sent to do the post match press Cheers Adam ( thought he'd gone off on one ! 😀 ) i...

Building up a head of steam now.

EDIt - and at last!

It sounds as though we are having most of the possession, but I don't think their keeper has had to make a save yet.

Have I missed something - when did Pijus Otegbayo arrive?

Mad that no one has mentioned Kenny Lowe. Picked up the pieces when the club narrowly avoided extinction. The club only had four registered players and even then there were no guarantees on what league (if any) Barrow would be playing in. A solid mid table finish in his first season (after starting...

I don't think the Halifax manager's assessment of our football does justice to the way we played in the last 20 minutes: "It was two massively contrasting styles of football, one team that lumps it long, narrows you up and hits the big man, our style is to be expansive and play, and they affect...

After 70 minutes I was thinking I must stop watching our away matches, having last sat thru the Solihull defeat. We had been poor and Halifax looked completely in control. Then Thompson’s goal, and it was like the team collectively smelt blood. Two more well worked goals and Lane also unlucky to see...

Amazing! Never looked like getting anything out of this game until 10 mins ago.

Right, now let’s see some real pressure for the last 25 mins!

We look disorganised and haven’t got going at all.Lucky to be only one down. Over to Murray to sort them out and come out all guns firing.

1-0 to Halifax. Can’t complain, they have played the better football so far.

Just out of curiosity, is there any video of Marriott’s goal? There was an amusing bit of video on YouTube from the terraces that showed warm up, then suddenly switched to the FG keeper picking the ball out of the net and a voice saying “what have I missed”. Try this, Jim: https://www.reddit.com/r/...

And it wills ave the pitch from further damage.
