For all things Barrow AFC. Keep discussions civil and fair, we're all Barrow aren't we!

Correction, not Waddington, meant Hardcastle.

3-0, but nowhere near a thrashing, or even 2nd best. For long periods Barrow were unquestionably the better side, playing attractive possession football. Once again nowhere near deadly enough in and around the penalty area. Blackpool weren’t bad, and obviously had some good players, but was far from a walk in the park for them.
3 players stood out for me today Waddington, Barry and Granite.
Much to be enthusiastic and optimistic about.
Hardcastle not Waddington

There was no where near a thousand Barrow fans there 😮 nor 400 Blackpool
Don't they have to pay some sort of tax on the numbers attending, so can't see it being overstated, particularly with an accountant as Chairman. ;)

Thought we matched Blackpool for large spells in the game and it was another good test. If anything I think we are still looking for the perfect opening, taking an extra touch, rather than taking on a half chance, but that can be worked on.

The good thing for me is that we maintained the shape in the side even with the substitutions. That for me shows we have a good balance in the squad.

The stand seemed 3/4 full so the crowd was about right we played well just lacked that clinical edge up front but still a decent display against a decent blackpool side i liked the look of the 18 that came on for us any ideas who he is

You pay VAT on gate receipts, not the attendance. Otherwise even fewer clubs would bother with ‘pay what you feel like’ promotions.

Is this right. I thought he looked very lively and instantly fitted in.

Have they counted every season ticket holder as attending? As they were already paid for.

I went in the popside turnstiles with my season ticket and the lass marked it off on a list.

Hopefully Harrison’s commitment to the squad will show a vast improvement on the last time he pulled on a Barrow shirt which was a disgrace. I’m sure the manager has been made well aware of the players lack of effort and desire to the cause during his last eight to ten previous appearances for the club.
