Good Evening I am a Bolton fan in peace having read the past few days this thread and all the people saying Bolton can do this can’t do that I just want to set the record straight on a few things yes we are under an embargo which prevents us from paying fees for players however people saying that we cannot pay wages for loans players is not correct we can pay wages but not a loan fee so you could offer a loan fee and wages for a player but we may offer to pay no loan fee but more of their wages that is allowed.

We do own our stadium

We are starting with a blank canvas so Evett will have scope to bring in who he needs

I like Barrow I know someone who supports them but people need to check facts before they post.

The fact that we cannot pay fees does not matter because the pool of talent out of contract is bigger this year due to corona virus impact and we are a big club at league 2 level so we should attract good players

I hope you do well and was glad you got promoted and I will be at your ground next season if fans are allowed

I think we acknowledged that you could pay loanee wages but no fees. And it's Evatt.

Thought the Evatt poster sales might need boost

I did laugh at this, as when the shop was advertising the original with free postage did think to myself ‘wonder why they are pushing these specifically’ not actually expecting this current outcome.

Was one of the many Barrow fans at Bolton's old ground for the FA Cup match in 1991 when they scrapped an undeserved 1-0 win - I think if fans are allowed there will be even more Barrow fans at Horwich this season to see us right that defeat,

I genuinely wouldn't be arsed to sign up for a forum just to post a comment of that ilk. Fair play to you.

Hopefully, local rivalries will prevail and Blackburn will not loan players to Bolton.
that and Bolton are not allowed to pay money for loanees - whilst we are, so Blackburn would be better off with getting us to pay 50% of their wages rather than Bolton paying nothing.
TBH I think you've got the wrong end of the stick there. I believe there's nothing to stop them loaning players and paying a contribution towards their wages [ within the stated parameters and the budget constraints of the limits placed on them ] I believe what they're not allowed to do is to pay loan fees where the loaning club agrees to pay a fee for the loan to take place its a tool sometimes used where a player is in the last year of his contract and will be due a payment when he completes it so his club agrees to loan him out for the last year of his contract the player gets his payment and the club get a fee which more than covers the payment due to the player [ often the fee is used as a non-returnable deposit if the buying club are loaning the player with a view to signing him permanently a sort of try before you buy arrangement ] can also be used if a number of clubs are interested in loaning a certain player ie the one that offers the highest loan fee gets him. But basically its a tool thats used to get around other regulations but one very rarely seen at this level

I hope more Bolton fans sign up to tell us how we should feel about losing our manager to a massive League 2 club.

Why on earth are you trying to justify paying loan fees and the do's and don'ts of what you can do and not whilst under a transfer embargo the way your just waltzing in and also (allegedly) been talking to or via agent IE although I have read somewhere that he was at "The Reebok" doing a podcast on the way Barralona have played just a couple of weeks ago which is extremely fishy to me then even though your under said embargo you can throw money around to entice manager away even though you still owe money here and their, tbh it doesn't sit well with me and I'd think many others, totally understand the way football works but I would like to know what the FA and other footballing bodies standpoint is on this as it does not seem right. Once all your creditors and debtors are paid in full you should then be allowed to pay for players and managers alike. That said your not this big club you all seem to think 14points in 39 games (think that's right) and lost half those players that managed that measly points return last season, you or any club under a transfer embargo shouldn't be allowed to do what is happening here. And yes I am ever so slightly bitter about it, as your not that big of a club at this moment

That 14 points is with a 12 point deduction though so add that on and the mighty Bolton wanderers go from the worst team In league one to the second worst team in league one to Southend who only managed one less win than Bolton did.

Thanks ok 26 points in 39 games good enough for 23rd however due to not paying their debts the point deduction means bottom of the pile and such. Cheers.

To put that in context - it's the same points as Chorley got in the NL last season - but from more games...
IF Evatt doesn't arrest Bolton's decline and Chorley come back up they'll have a real close derby match in the National League in 2021/22 - not that Evatt would still be there if they did....
