You surely don't think he's made the decision purely on the basis of what league Bolton are in next season?

He's joining a club that is light years ahead in terms of size and infrastructure.

At this stage of his career he's not going to get a much bigger job.

That's no disrespect to Barrow either.
No doubt, you have premier league facilities, but the bigger job / bigger stadium, doesn't mean he has a better chance of success on the playing field, a fact fans of many ex-league clubs floundering in non league will tell you.
He'll be aware that we expect to be challenging for promotion next season.

Presumably he thinks he's capable of meeting those expectations.

Tbh No one is bitter, it's more disappointment that he's chosen to take a side step rather than move up!

Ten years ahead perhaps. How did that work out last time. This is all a bit Owen Coyle for Bolton and how did that work out? Hey ho, hopefully Evatt will relegate Notlob just like the 12 goal legend did back when you last waffled on about how far ahead you are.

Perhaps he should stick around for the next decade then until you move into your 30,000 capacity stadium.

You’re going to go down again shame Ian doesn’t see unless he does see it and is probably taking you to the cleaners. Again.

What these Bolton fans don't seem to understand is that they are failures and as such should be speaking to our highly successful fans with humility.
Now the thing with humble pie is that it is supposed to be eaten quietly and not covered in sqirty cream and dressed up like millionaires shortbread on a night out.
So do one and remember where you are at the bottom of a very long slide.

Coyle got Bolton to an FA Cup semi final and lost it 5-0. Sam Allardyce had a better attempt in his FA Cup semi final he lost it on penalties.Rioch's best performance in the FA Cup was to reach the quarter final.Lost 1-0 at home to Oldham. There is a recurring theme here, they are club of losers

Coz we’re moOooving on up, Evatts mooOooving on out, nothing can stop us

well not really, as Evatt has said himself he lives and breathes football, will be very hard to find a quality replacement. on the plus said hes made the club 1.25 million in two years (EFl money and the fee)

IMHO the Mods should restrict "away" fan access to the forum

Yeah, we’ve been there and worn the t-shirt unfortunately. We were fairly lucky we only dropped down one division when we were screwed over by ‘he who must not be named’

Hopefully in the future when Bolton are heading up the divisions again with Evatt at the helm they’ll remember the mighty bluebirds and will send us some decent players on loan!
You're having a laugh!

Do you have a paypal? or a way us Bolton fans can help fellow supporters out after stealing their manager?

Few quid to help you put a roof on a stand?
Pathetic, grow up.

Tell me any big club that does not even have a ground in it's own town.
It's a soulless ground at Horwich.
I used to attend Burden Park when I was there in 70s.stll look out for their results.
Notts County were a big team look at where they are now.
He jumped ship to early only thing is he gets the sack he will get a good pay out.
Saying you are a big club does not make you.one.
