Huge push this weekend for those who can.......we’d have all been paying our gate money for one of the biggest games of the season, why not give £10+ each to the trust instead

Keep plugging away and trying to get as close as we can to the total required is the honest answer.

If we come up short it will not be for a lack of effort, from all of us and all of you that are supporting us.

If anyone has any imaginitive ways we can raise some more money, in these difficult and uncertain times then please shout up.

If we all work together and play our part by publicising the ongoing schemes to friends, family and social media followers the world over, then who knows what we can acheive, we may just get there.

There’s a virtual Grand National on ITV next Saturday with the real thing not being able to take place; could some sort of sweepstake be done? Half the money to the trust or something?

Good idea. I’d be up for that. Perhaps make it £5 per ticket?

I'll acknowledge at the outset that the logistics of this might be difficult in current circumstances but 2/3 years ago Ste Storey organised 'designer' t-shirts to raise money for the forum, I think. My wife is currently ironing my Barrow Subutteo one for the umpteenth time and commented on its enduring quality - far better than ones I've bought at gigs in recent times.
I'd certainly buy more if it were possible to organise (I realise Ste couldn't do it now) but, as I say, it just might not be logistically possible.
It all comes 'round again.

A lot if tins and bottles of beer might be coming up to or past it's sell by date before bars are next allowed to be opened. Use that as raffle prizes.

Doesn't bother me, but I don't think you can raffle out of date stuff.

Was saying raffle it before it is out if date. You can't sell it as the bar is closed. Never mind, wait until it is all over and scrap it.

I think the date on chocolate is a sell by date, but it will remain edible long after that date. I would have thought that if you clearly stated that it was past its sell by date you could sell tickets.
