Evo talking squad and attitude and stepping up. Fantastic that the lads who have stepped in have been ready and have done brilliantly.

Harrison fit for Saturday

Very very happy tonight.

Evatt sounds pleased but drained and understandingly gutted by the injuries.
Sutton with whoever is fit and rested, then a fortnight to mend.
Dior muscle spasm, Platt knock on his ankle. Barry looks long term hamstring injury. Fingers crossed for Platt and Dior. Byron should be back this Saturday.

Cracking win that, clean sheet, Injuries don't sound to bad as first thought, phew, But tomorrow could be different, hope not.

Nice to hear that young Penfold has started to get game time & Granite did good tonight, So hopefully we're good for Saturday.

Evo made a great point re the fixtures with both Torquay & Dagenham having 2 home games while we travelled to both & the effect it has on the players.

Excellent win, hopefully the injuries aren't too bad.

Great chance for another win against a struggling Sutton on Saturday.
Popular side since '03.

as an exile of 30 years apart from the odd false dawn this actually feels like something is happening and we might actually have a chance of the football league and building something the community can support and buy in to really enjoying being a barrow supporter at the moment all be it from a distance

Absolutely. I’ve been going down HS for 30 years and we’ve had some success and some good moments but it always felt like we were in transition either on or off the pitch. This time it feels like we are building something as a club.

Going to miss the on-line BBC RC commentary when we get promoted, never mind hopefully someone can do what the Rugby did and broadcast audio over Facebook?

Not quite a backs-to-the-wall performance, but a superb team effort not helped by injuries, unplanned substitutions and, towards the end, tired legs. Some of the players were visibly wilting as full time approached, understandably after two long trips in quick succession, but still gave 100% right up to the final whistle. Proud of them all.

As the fourth official signalled a long five minutes stoppage, the Barrow supporters behind the goal we were attacking stepped up a gear and encouraged the players over the line, something that was generously applauded as those tired legs trooped off the field.

A couple of special mentions. First to Joel Dixon who had a superb game with, especially, a couple of tremendous saves in the second half. And secondly to the Dagenham supporters who came over to shake our hands as we left the ground.

Excellent result and comfortably the better team, but I actually thought it wasn't one of our better performances. We gave the ball away quite a lot, which is out of character for us. But what we did do was work, and even when not at our best we were still easily better than what looked like a very poor Dagenham side.

Having said that, we did ride our luck a couple of times and Dixon made a couple of great saves also.

Could be a big result tonight as it was important that we bounced back from Saturday quickly, and that we were able to do that bodes well for the rest of the season I think. We really do have a chance with this side, and with the way the league is this season.

Quigley was our man of the match for me. Absolutely superb, worked his socks off, held the ball up well and showed great feet. They were simply unable to handle him and he gave them a torrid time.

I’d imagine we would do the same as Carlisle and the club player that you get in the football league would be our commentary

Kind words on the Dagenham forum with one fan comparing Barrow to Brazil. Most saying the best team they’ve played this season.

took this from the Dagenham forum....

"Make no mistake if they keep this momentum up we were looking last night at potential rulers of this League come April, no wonder Ian Evatt is the most 'looked at' Manager in this Division now. Those 69 die hard's couldn't be more thrilled of a sleepless night. Their No.8 Rooney class. Times they were passing the ball around like a 70's Brazilian national outfit and maybe a slight blessing to us dropped the gas"

(I highlighted the Brazil bit, not the original poster)
Bring it on!!!
