Main negative was the pass after pass after pass from Hird that never found a man, and Byron's shocking first touch. Platt, Rooney and Hardcastle all really stepped up when we needed to get back in the game. Quigley's tantrum might earn him a bit of a bollocking.

I am pretty sure it was the "pass" from Hird that put in Rooney for the equaliser ;)

Would rather have quigs chuck a tantrum being taken off over a player who couldn't give a hoot!
Ref was worse one this season at-home imo, held play up too many times
Good fightback after poor start and championship any league are the ones that have a poor game but still get points!
Good crowd, let's hope it keeps growing and growing.

Disappointed not to have all 3 PTS but top of the league, point ahead, game in hand...just being greedy😁

No problems from IE R/E Quigley; he was just frustrated at his performance, the mans a winner!

Not at the races, 2 goals behind after ten minutes and we’ve still come away with a draw which shows a lot of character. Had a few half chances in the second half to win it as well (Rooneys free kick, Platts header) but credit to Chorley, they were excellent early on then got 11 men behind the ball second half, can see why there results have been improving

We've had him before. Gareth Rhodes in our loss against Halifax in August.

Hopefully this is just a blip both the last 2 home games will have taken it's toll , but to win a league like this it's never going to be easy Quigley looked a bit out of sorts tonight just needs his mojo back but fair play to Chorley I thought they sussed us out and for 10 minutes they had us all over the place. With playing Barry further up it leaves hird exposed and teams will soon exploit this if we're not careful!

Predictably they were full of confidence after 2 wins and came out of the blocks fast. We should have seen it coming and although we probably did , and presumably prepared for it , there are always the subconscious mental ( complacency) things that can get in the way when playing teams at the bottom.

As things turned out , we were able to pull it back and were possibly unlucky not to get another win . Perhaps we just lacked a bit of composure after being rattled early on.

It's something we need to make sure doesn't happen again , but on a positive note most of the other results went in our favour, we didn't lose , and we have ended up a point clear at the top and with a game in hand.

We are in a great position if we get our heads right and capitalise on a position every other team in the league would swap us for. Keep the faith guys - and keep on doing the right things , and we can get there come May. :scarf:

Even so, he stopped the momentum so many times with that aimless ball down the line (including lobbing it out of play in injury time).

Poor start from Barrow but I thought Chorley were excellent - they pressed high for an hour and unsettled us - still good sides find a way and we pulled it back in style and could have won with a bit of luck. But you can’t win them all and this is only our second draw of the season. If we’d drawn a few of the earlier games instead of losing 6 of them we’d be even further ahead. Great crowd, good atmosphere and an enjoyable game .

We are a point clear with game in hand . Keep the faith - keep working hard - we ain’t won anything yet and there is a long way to go - but with the right attitude we can do it

To be fair Hird wasn’t the only culprit tonight for bad passing, a lot of the team were at the very least guilty of moving the ball too slowly

Chorley set up to make it hard, took their chances and coupled with us having one of those days, probably a draw about fair result. Smith should have walked, ref bottled it. Looked a hand ball 2nd half, but was a frame out of capturing it.. some pics here

Slow start, showed good character to get back on level terms....absolutely ridiculous that they didn’t go down to 10 men. Mystifying.

A point after an iffy performance will do me tbh.

What was this joke that on 2 occasions the idiot ref called the Chorley captain over for a word,
Both times the guilty player went unpunished.

Has football become rugby?
