Some excellent photos there, Ian, especially the one about half way down where their goalkeeper is airborne. That's a fantastic pic. There is another one though which might cause a bit of bother and it's the one where Quigley is wheeling away after scoring - - - I just hope the bloke in the background isn't on any sorts of benefits as he might be getting asked some difficult questions (reminds me of when a "crippled" Del Boy bounced up out of his wheelchair to confront Rodders). I suppose the moral of the story is this: If you're on crutches, don't get excited when watching Barrow Soccer as your entitlements might be reviewed (that's been easy enough for most seasons in our 118 year history but in 2019-20 you just might get into trouble).Big E wrote: ↑Thu Dec 26, 2019 9:15 pmPhotos

A forum for previous match threads.
I think every single supporter from Fylde must have had a minder Ian given that their support was up on last seasons encounter.
Also great photos Ally enjoyed viewing them immensely.

He was probably fearing the rough edge of Holkerbird's tongue regarding his unwanted advances to Ian Evatt... err if you know what I mean.
Actually there are probably more members of the local community in the Fylde area that might pose a threat to Mr Haythornthwaite than any disgruntled BAFC fan. Perhaps it was his usual minder.
Quite interesting to note that the Fylde player who cleared the ball away after the penalty was saved was actually inside the box when the penalty was struck. Now relate that to the retaken penalty of Raheem Stirling in Wolves v Man city game. Clearly encroachment , should have been retaken.
One of first errors by official .
Definately. Josh been badly done to there. Never a 2nd yellow card. Cheating spitting horrible kosylo [SwearFilter]
Just watched the highlights, what it showed was a horrible set of Fylde players constantly harassing the referee at the least sign of something they did not like, what it also shows what a poor referee he was, he should have stopped this at the first sign of what they intended to do, it also showed that Kay did slightly touch Kosylo as he ran passed him the referee gave a free kick to Fylde but Kosylo was not happy about that he immediately ran back to Kay and confronts him together with several other Fylde players totally unnecessary but it showed their intention very early on.
My view of the bookings is that, for the first one, it was a nothing challenge and the ref simply waved for a free kick and didn't show any more interest until the Fylde players started a melee. Likewise, for the second challenge, he signalled the free kick and was walking away when again the Fylde players surrounded him. Very weak refereeing IMO, and poor gamesmanship from the Fylde players.

Their Coach will congratulate them on that and encourage more of it as it clearly works. Sad really as they can play a bit.Jim wrote: ↑Sat Dec 28, 2019 8:55 amMy view of the bookings is that, for the first one, it was a nothing challenge and the ref simply waved for a free kick and didn't show any more interest until the Fylde players started a melee.
