What a fierce hard work ethic IE has installed in these lads. Flyde are in a very false position at the moment, lots of talent in their squad but seem to lack togetherness, something we have in abundance.

Long way to go but I now finally believe we will get promoted this season. Personally mind blowing that Its likely that I can walk across the road and watch Barrow play Bolton Wanderers next season in a league fixture.
Long way to go and far too close to call. We don't know what the transfer window will bring. Fingers crossed we keep Platt and White. Also I reckon we need another striker and defender as injuries and suspensions bound to happen. We had 6 bookings today.
Who were the bookings? Hird, Angus, Quigley, Brown, Taylor and someone else?

Excellent point from Ian Evatt on the radio; not that long ago we’d have been delighted with today’s away following as our home attendance

What a fantastic game, packed away end who didn’t stop singing, nice to see Taylor back playing from the start also, didn’t look to put a foot wrong the whole game.

I don’t think they announce the away numbers in case it might embarrass them. Stuck up club :sentoff: :sentoff: :sentoff:

Attendance given as 2400 if I remember correctly. I would say at least half of that total was the travelling faithful.
As far as the game goes I think we looked a bit nervous first half. Second half we were at them from the off, great goal by Quigs. Plenty of pinball wizard on a few occasions could of led to a second. They then made three subs that changed the game but we defended as though our lives depended on it. Not sure why we amassed six bookings but he is an over fussy ref. Red card in added time for them, I didn't see it so not sure what for. Great three points against a bit of a bogey team on a bit of a heavy pitch that doesn't suit our style, I'll settle for that all day. Great ground and facilities, just goes to prove it's the guys on the pitch that count the most, team spirit can't be bought!
Nineteen massive games to go, Ian Evatt I'm sure is fully geared for the challenges ahead and won't let anyone get ahead of themselves including us the fans.

Ref was fine and most bookings seemed justified. No idea what Kosylo did, but only the linesman spotted it.

Crowd was probably more Barrow, and the atmosphere great - ticket situation a bit of a shambles still. Also saw the comments from their [SwearFilter] of a chairman saying that Evatt shook hands twice on becoming their boss. Such a scummy move, and only really reflects badly on him.

Platt was incredible today, and haven't seen a better defender in this league this season. White was also great, and essential that we keep these two.

Such a good feeling to beat the most classless team in this league, and it will be hilarious that we get promoted and they miss their stupid 2022 target.

Fantastic win, very gritty, held on superbly in spells and played some good stuff. Fylde are much better than their league position suggests.
Some very soft bookings given out by the ref, not sure what the red was for either.
Platt is absolutely superb, up there with the best defenders we've had IMO.
