Really nice touch at the end when the players came right over to the away fans and gave us a good clap. Richie Baker posed for a photo with some young enthusiastic Ziggers. Cliff didn't have a good game, I think this level is too high for him at the moment but obviously Bayles sees potential in the lad so perhaps a season on loan at a BSN club would be a good idea for 2012/13?

Enjoyed my Poppy Burger but at £4.10 is was a bit dear! Topping the lot though was the extortionate £18 to get in! Alice in Wonderland ticket prices.

Good craic with the lads, shame there won't be another fun packed away day until next season.
Up the Ziggers.

Si cant get the Skelton thing , other than one good defective tatle every thing was hoof today, nobody played well although Mayoh and Baker played poor, Moyoh has no idea and effected all those along side and infront of him, cold and expensive also

In the games I have seen this season Skelts has been the most consistent performer. He is by no means the most skillful player but he gets the job done that needs to be done - he can also use both feet which most players at this level don't seem capable of. You can also see he is the one organising things in the team rather than Bolly.

To say he was "all hoof" today I don't get at all. For sure he gets rid when he has to but he combined well with Ruthers on the left today and also put in some good deliveries from set pieces. I thought he was clearly our best player today

What was it Mike said about his "condiment" defending ......

One other thing with Moyo is he can't take a throw in. His arms move at rapid speed but something goes wrong with the trajectory everytime and the ball just pops out.

He is still young and maybe he has a future but he isn't really good enough at this level yet though you can't fault his work-rate.

Didn't he manage to throw one straight out for a Kettering throw in the second half! Thought they might give them to Nico given his long throw but alas not. Mean haircut though....

Kettering v Barrow match thread

Post by Jim » Sat Apr 21, 2012 11:09 pm

We were poor and only really played any decent football in the last 10 minutes. The two wide men rarely got the ball and most of the time we just lumped it forward hoping that the two strikers would get onto it. The problem seemed to be the midfield playing the ball back to defenders who were under pressure, who had no option but a hurried lump forward.

In spite of being rubbish, we had at least 10 shots on target, unfortunately almost all went straight at the keeper.

It was my sons birthday the day before so took him and three of his pals along. suffice to say there are now three lads in Northamptonshire for whom Barrow are their new second team :-)

I just need to work on his singing now :-)
