Re: Ins and Outs
We need two centre backs (if Peo can come back fit and play full back) a left winger, a central midfielder and a rapid striker
Re: Ins and Outs
Do you think we'll offer Edwards a contract? I hope so, I'd like to see him back at Barrow. Two quality left backs in Skelton and Edwards but both different types of player then that's that postion sorted. Edwards can play wing back if we wanted to change things.

Re: Ins and Outs
Edwards isn't the player he was so I hope not to see him at Barrow again.
Re: Ins and Outs
Seddon would be a good squad player but at 32 and his wage demands I would think rule out any move to Barrow also does not fit into Bayliss's youth policy will possibly join his old club Hyde United.

Re: Ins and Outs
Can't see the financies allowing that in any way whatsoever, plus I wouldn't want us to be seen as a club that keeps going back to the same player with chance after chance when things don't work out elsewhere. It's all well & good him trying to do the best for himself but surely a line has has to be drawn at some stage.Jonty wrote:Do you think we'll offer Edwards a contract? We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

I wouldn't want Edwards, or Seddon.
Both too old and both likely wouldn't come cheap.

If this bus crashed and everybody on it died, Barrow football would end - Daz Boyle, Boston away, August 9th 2014.

Re: Ins and Outs
I heard that too. We might have a vacancy in his position if what my contacts tell me comes true.

I'd take Mark Bridge-Wilkinson straight away if he was available, assuming we could afford him, he stood out in a morale sapped Darlington when they were here, that alone probably says a lot about the bloke as a player.
Smith I'd like to see stay although he's been poor of late in the RB position but he's still only young & playing out of position, plenty of room & time for improvement there.
