Yes as well as. why not the Everton's,Liverpool's and Wigan's? These lads are 18-20 and some of them come out of football altogether. They can't all get into other league clubs.

Many premier league youth team 'rejects' end up in BSP, just because they start in a premier club, doesn't mean they end up in one!!
Stood behind Ray Wilkie for years. Best education I ever had.

That the guy who's now assistant at the Prawn Shed?
I wasn't aware that he was at The Kennel but if it's the same bloke who succeeded in the seemingly impossible job of getting Alty relegated then yes, that's him.

Indeed, just because you start at Premier League club, it does not mean that you are going to end up a quality BSP player!

Yes- They may not cut the mustard and if you look you'll find examples- I'm sure there are plenty of players from Prem clubs who don't make it in the game. The point is- I just so happened to be reading an article about youngsters who have just been released by Everton and that they may not have had much of a chance but may just thrive on an opportunity like playing for Barrow in the BSP and that these sort of players should be on the radar over summer.
"To achieve anything and to get to the Football League, we have to expect to win every game. I've got to get everyone believing that we can, and I will work hard to embed that mentality into the players, the town, the board and whoever else” Ian Evatt.

I really think we should be looking at any available player that meets our budgetary demands, regardless of where they used to play. Bring them on trial, see how they do. If they're good enough and we can afford them, they're in!

I see the point but actually, and I'm sure there is plenty of relevant case law out there, a verbal agreement is a legally binding contract, obviously helps if there are witnesses to that.
Education should be public not private, it should be open, accountable and answerable to all the community, pupils and parents.

Yep, the story goes he was on his way to Manchester to sign when his greedy dad phoned him and told him to sign for Spurs instead.

None of our players have busybody parents like that, do they?

I don't know reg, I was just referring to the situation that basically a "verbal" agreement is non binding and basically means naff all

My sources says there's one whose lad has been putting off signing a new contract for us for months.
