Trouble with relying on fans is it's not always going to work, what if that fan base suddenly drops off, has a fallout with the board or simply loses interest, who will be left with the bills/plans etc?

Would you as a director rely on others & put yourself in this position? I wouldn't. Six months ago it seemed like everyone whoever had ever stepped foot inside HS wanted to volunteer for job's..........I think about twenty forms were handed in.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Very valid point!

I dont think what has been discussed here is look, let us just crack on here. I think the idea here is, the club have invested heavily into a feasibility study and its not looking so good now and maybe, just maybe the fans and the BoD could bounce off each other to find a way forward?

If the proposed redevelopment doesnt go ahead, what is the board thinking of next? I dont imagine for one minute that they just want to sit and wait for the next golden opportunity to land on the doorstep? But Im not sure that there is a plan in place? Everyone connected to the club wants the best for us, we all appreciate the lack of funds etc but seriously, whats the cost for the things we want/need to keep HS from crumbling around our feet any further?

There is a group for maintenance (I have offered to help, not filled in the form and have been surprisingly busy with my own business this last few weeks to help  ), there is the BDF too which do wonders for the club, so what about a group who would do the leg work on behalf of the club to find out all the answers regarding the HS end and any other things that are perhaps beyond the capabilities of the maintenance group (not that anything's getting past this group!!) ;)
