2013 Calendars?

Post by Thetopcat » Fri Dec 07, 2012 9:50 am

Just a thought, but with 2013 just around the corner and a set of close-knit fixtures, would now be a good time to put together 12 photos and sell a 2013 calendar? Hopefully someone's already had this thought and I'm just spouting hot air...

...in which case, where can I buy one? :D

Will they sell them n the club shop I may be in the vicinity during the festive season. I usually get scenic Lake District calendars for my-self and some friends but wouldn't mind having a look at these first.

A limited edition BDF 2013 Calendar will be available from Saturday.

They will be on sale in the BDF Shop on matchdays, the club shop from Saturday and around the ground on Tuesday night from programme and raffle ticket sellers.

Price is £3.

What will the pictures on the calendars consist of? If its current players then it will be useless by july!

A better idea would be pictures from past glories ie, wembley finals, past players, crowd banners.

This would definitely encourage me to buy a few for xmas presents.

Cliff, I could say buy and you'll see what's on it ;) But I can reveal it's a mix of action shots and a few ground shots.
Hope you'll still buy one, I haven't seen the final product all bound together, but I did see the proofs, and the quality was jolly decent!

I'll still buy a couple. Gotta do my bit to help the club. Just don't wanna be staring at a picture of a player in November who didnt even last till the end of January! Hopefully a bit of thought has been put into the pictures rather than rushing any old rubbish out just to make an extra couple of quid. There's plenty of pictures knocking about of the likes of the 'Barrow rule the 3rd' graffiti or a floodlit ariel view of holker street that will be much more enjoyable than a picture of Obi Onouru looking back at me!

Sadly I don't have access to a flying machine, so there's no ariel shots, but there's a few I think you'll enjoy.

Traccking down the copyright and acquiring permission isnt worth the hassle though. Just because stuff is on the internet it doesnt mean it is freely available to use, especially for money making purposes. Much safer to use stuff Dave has shot and given us his permission to use.
