Re: Hulbert
He's quoted in the NWEM tonight as saying that it's only fair he doesn't take a wage if he gets injured because of his recent serious injury.
What a good bloke - hope he has a great season as skipper if/when he signs.

Re: Hulbert
Sounds like a gold plated Gent. If he does hit an injury period, assuming he is recruited to the team, he would make a great (free) project manager for your continuing ground maintenance area effort.

Ian is our project manager as from my understanding hulburt has his own business so very much doubt he'd do it my friendFartvs Antiqvvs wrote:Sounds like a gold plated Gent. TFT Babc. Not a lot of people outside of, nor inside of Barrer knew that.Barrowabc wrote: Ian is our project manager as from my understanding hulburt has his own business so very much doubt he'd do it my friend
To paraphrase a Mark Knofler hit, "Hulbert doesn't mind if he doesn't make the scene, he's got a day time job, he's doing alright"

I think if we had a fit hulbert last season some of those work shy cretins would have played better, real leader and one of my favourites of recent seasons and a great bloke too

Re: Hulbert
Would have loved to have seen & heard Robins response in the changing room last season to Boyes telling Bayles "he wasn't going to tackle because he'd set a deal up with Gateshead"
Probably carnage.
Really hope he can come to an agreement with us. A good player & another that you only ever hear good things said of him.

We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Re: Hulbert
If Hulbert had been at Alfreton last season no way would he have made it through 90 minutes. Sent off for caving one of your team-mates heads in might not have been very popular though. Mansfield and Luton weren't great away days but Alfreton was the real low point of last season for me in terms of lack of fight. Even if we struggle a bit this season if I see the right amounts of effort I will be happy.
