ok so i heard a whisper last night ...

Post by bluebirdjohn » Sun Nov 17, 2013 4:12 pm

Out for a few drinks last night in Dalton with a couple of pals. Overheard a conversation relating to our next gaffer. Word was that the board were extremely impressed with the application of a Dalton based junior coach in their early 20s.

I wouldn't be completely against a young local coach with the right ideas and maybe who could give us some young/local lads in the team more often. Personally though, I'd rather see an experienced manager in place who knows this level. But I guess cost will guide the board on the next appointment.

One thing is for certain though, whoever does get the nod will need the backing of all us supporter to succeed and we must no matter what get behind them and the team. :offtopic:

I heard our next manager is due to be born by Caesarian section this Wednesday. Board to announce the appointment once his parents name him.

If this bus crashed and everybody on it died, Barrow football would end - Daz Boyle, Boston away, August 9th 2014.

Snap...
Seems they denied my application then...
I was so confident, that all my experience from fm 2013 at this club wold be enough to get appointed. Maybe the problem was not my experience, but my location anyway. Oh well In game i got the board that far, hat they frequently begged me to ask something of them, so they could grant me that wish...

on a serious note:
Whoever they apoint, i will support him.

I'd hope so Chris. I was holding out for a football league job but then decided to give my expertise to Barrow. I'm anticipating an interview some time this week.
