I think you have missed out the most likely contender(s) on that list.

I would put two potential managerial teams in front of anyone on that list.

I spoke to Jonathan Smith today at Chorley (please dont shout at me im just a bit skint) and he was saying Barrow had approached two players recently. Oddly enough Mr Simon Wiles is plying his trade here and also a striker called "Deano" who knocked in 50 for FC Halifax 2 seasons ago.

Garry Flitcroft has no interest in the Barrow job by the way

Why is that though?

It's becauae as a club we've never been able to see past the end of our own nose, and have in the main stumbled from crisis to crisis with no forward thinking or long-term planning. Yes there have been brief highs, but thats all they were ever going to be as the way the club is and has been run is never going to be sustainable long-term.

It doesn't have to continue like that though, the club and area is big enough to support better. I'm not sure this board is any more capable of delivering it than any of the others though.

Lowe would be a very disappointing appointment for me and a clear indication that nothing is going to change.

Have to agree with you there Robbo, we are a very fickle club and very sub standard in our targets. We had a very good commercial manager in "gen man" and we had have dropped off the face of non league football as a club, a team and a fan base. We need to build from the bottom up. Great result today, but 5k wont turn Holker St into Disney World. We need more attraction, ambition, commitment and finally some truth from the club in the whole. That will then give the foundations for many more folk to return and support the team.

Im no [SwearFilter], well i am sometimes, but i imagine the atmosphere at the end of the Chester game was immense.

That can return to Barrow, easy.

The fellas that will take over will be Henney and Billy.

I do try to post in the relevant thread when I remember, being new to all this you have to cut me some slack. My light hearted views to what life has to offer may be not every ones cup of tea so why not try some sugar with it. There is also no swearing in any of my posts. These tiger’s stripes have been on a long time now and will not wash off!!

Now bearing in mind two of Bayliss' wins were in the FA Cup against much inferior opposition and the two wins for Meechan were two away wins against much better opposition, I would say Meechan has done a pretty good job so far, so why do the majority of fans think Meechan shouldn't even be considered for the job? Apart from the Telford game (and a penalty shootout) he's done a good job with what was Bayliss' squad, surely he has to be in with a shot at it?

He's in with a shot at it as any caretaker boss would be, his stats record also won't be doing him any harm.

I wouldn't really want him to get it though as he's the one who apparently had the contacts & will have recommended a lot of theses players to DB. Ultimately it will have been Bayliss's choice but if these are the sort of players he was recommending......

There's a big reason why we've also had a couple of decent results lately & that's Carver, DB's record might have looked a bit better in this same period with him in the team as well.
It looks as though we're going to struggle to keep hold of him now as there appears to be couple of other teams wanting him on loan, how good will the stats look then?

When Sheridan left we went on a run of wins, then it all went belly up and we have been on a downward spiral ever since.

For much of the Stockport game and Chester game we were fairly poor - the shots we had went in - I don't think we had a shot on target at Chester until we scored.

so for me Meecham isn't the answer.

and DB WON 3 and DRAWN 1 of his first 4 games in charge - then we played Bath at home

we lost the next 7 games conceeding 20 goals and scoring 0 and only won once again all season
