Not the best Barrow performance but one of the best defensively. McMillan made several good saves and Burns some crucial clearances while Rushy was lively upfront with what chances he got. This was a tough game that we came through after a battle and bodes well that we can defend well when up against it.

Fantastic win, sign of a good side when you can win ugly, you are never gunna dominate consistantly away from home some weeks teams are gunna have the edge over you so for me a really really good win today.

What an experience not just Being Dave Farraday but the coach was really buzzing today. Our biggest following on the bus in a while, Workington excluded, the banter was great. Colwyn Bay gave us a stern test and we rode our luck at times with Tony Mcmillan putting in a match winning performance with four top class saves. Two good finishes by Son of Cowps and Rushton kept us sweet. Our midfield played a rear guard role absorbing the threat Colwyn Bay threw our way. Duran Reynolds omission due to injury was a blow but you could not fault the back four they all worked tirelessly for the cause. Sometimes you have to ride your luck and if you come out of it with a smile on your faces your all the better for it, and today was one of those days!! Well done to both team and supporters you all played your part.

We certainly rode our luck at Colwyn Bay today but two spells (first 15-20 minutes) and 10-15 in second half saw us through. The difference was we were more clinical in front of goal with two great finishes from SOG and Rushton. Defence played well especially Williams who was a tower of strength again and McMillan, though his usual shaky self on aerial balls has to get man of the match for a string of superb stops.

Rae-Harvey was much better than last week and I think supplied the ball for for Rushton's clincher. Shez was poor first half but much better second period and Davies seemed a little off the pace though in fairness he looked to be carrying a knock for a fair amount of the time. His goal aside I think Cowps struggled at left midfield and Willis behind him does look a bit weak so the sooner we get Eddy back the better.

Play like that against Stockport and we are likely to come unstuck. However it is nice to see us win when not playing at top form and even then there were glimpses of good stuff today and we battled hard. Edmo looked like he wasn't too chuffed with today and I think he let them all know at the end.

The important thing is the run and momentum continue and it was a great day out, exciting game and happy journey home

Always wanted to go to Colwyn Bay for some strange reason & today was the day. What I saw was a resiliant Barrow team who played and supported each other. It wasn't pretty & Colwyn Bay were really good at times (but they had no end product). The Barrow of three months ago would have capitulated but not this Barrow. In some ways this was one of our best performances for sheer stickability. Do not underestimate Niall's goal I was right behind the net when he scored it was quite brilliant in the way he placed it in the top corner. And Rushton's only sniff of a chance resulted in the other goal that's what a good striker is all about. Sure I thought we were poor at times and the Bay were often first to the ball (from about 30 minutes onwards). But when we did get the ball on the ground we are a match for any team at this level. Stability is the key with McMillan totally outstanding in goal (just remember what he was like in the Autumn - its amazing what a bit of confidence can do).

Whatever happens regarding the rest of the season this, to some extent, was a great reliliant display that tells you more about their character and determination - something that was sadly lacking up to christmas. It's just an amazing game (football)at times & confidence is the most important facor in team sport imo - Barrow proved that today.
