Had to turn it off. Dodd constantly talking over Dave Salmon and criticising officials. Nothing changes.

Enjoyed Dave Salmon's coverage - he's lively, enthusiastic, well-prepared and adds plenty of background and incidentals to the actual on-the-field events. Shaping up really well.

Disappointed by shortage of puns from Russ Dodd though.

Marked difference between Dodd and John Goodwin. John acts as a proper summariser explaining what has just happened adding to the experience and he works well with the commentator by waiting for him to stop talking before he starts.

Dodd is not a summariser - he is trying to be a second commentator. Trouble is he takes it away from Dave by constantly interrupting and talking over him so it's just a jumble to listen to.

agree 100% he just talks a load of rubbish,radio cumbria please get him off asap,you dont need him. i thought dave did well today,keep up the good work.

Just to confirm - there'll be full commentary of every single Barrow game, home and away, this season on BBCRC.
