Welcome to the Great Bluebird Weigh Off 2015!
Starting on the 1st January 2015 and going until the end of the 2014/15 season, Barrow AFC director Pete Garbacz and well known fans Stu Nichols and Steve Herbert will be having a weight-loss competition. The winner will receive the inaugural Bluebirds Trust Weigh Off Trophy™ and a six pack of cucumbers.

How it works
We want you to pledge sponsorship to the three of them during the competition, to support them and also raise some money for the trust at the same time.
Some pledge examples might be:
1) Pounds for Pounds - One £ for each lb that your chosen contender loses
2) Winner - A set amount if your chosen contender loses the most weight
3) Target - A set amount for if your chosen contender loses an amount you decide.

Or you may wish to come up with your own pledge terms!

Who's competing

What are the rules
The competitors will be weighed in the xbar prior to the New Years Day game against Fylde. That will be the starting weight.
The final weigh in will be announced nearer the time
Whoever has lost the most total weight from their first to last weigh in will be crowned champion!

Please support our three competitors and get pledging now!
Regards,
The Bluebirds Trust

Must admit the first I had heard of this was in the bar at the Ambrose a couple of weeks ago, and I said I was up for the challenge! Guess I must be too much competition for those three lightweights :?
Anyway well done Lads a great idea, and it certainly won't be easy with many temptations. Got every confidence in you all though, £5 pledged for every stone lost by our competitors.
It should favour the younger guys, but I think Herbie will loose the most!

The Great Bluebird Weigh Off

£1 for every stone lost
...£2 for every stone gained

£5 to the trust if Pete wins

5 Scottish pounds if Herbie wins

If stu wins, £5 worth of food donated to the food bank. Said food will stolen/purchased from ASDA by me while stu is on duty, and I'll only tell him which if he catches me. Any fine handed down by the magistrates, I'll donate the same to the trust.

I pledge £5 for each person taking part.
Good luck Lads!!!

As aside I have decided that for the first 2 months of 2015 I Plan to go without a drop of alcohol.
Will be hard (especially supporting this football club lol) but the plan is I will be raising money for both the bluebirds trust and a charity which is important to me and that is st marys hospice.

If anyone would like to sponsor me I will be printing some forms off and they will be available from january the 1st when i start my challenge.

Many thanks all :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:
