New signing - Andy Bond - please the exact player we are crying out for

i can see where your coming from but don`t forget that was 5 years ago he won`t have the same energy levels and no disrespect but i would hope we could sign somone with more quality!

We will get quality. Players of the calibre we want are not yet available but soon will be. If they know their beans these players will flock to us.

The lad is worthy of another year imo, his character and attitude, alongside his age will allow him to learn and grow as a player! cant knock a lad until he's been given a go.

Agree fully, CodHeads & Bournemouth both rose up to various levels by keeping their core together then added the right type of player that complemented their built in structure, I am a big believer in this, too many wholesale changes disrupts any core values/style or ethos you are cementing, To me it sounds like Cowps, Taylor & Burns fit into this scenario as squad players who will become more influential over time as they develop.

Only just tuned in.Slightly surprised at T Mc because IMO he is a better keeper than Taylor.I would definitely keep Burnsy and see how he progresses.Personally I don't like seeing Cowps at RB but there maybe a place for him just in front of the defence. The players that are leaving shouldn't have a problem finding a club round Conf Nth level and I would like to thank them for their contribution, however small,to the Barrow cause :scarf:

Wouldn't surprise me if he is released by Wigan particularly if his injury recovery takes longer than expected however I strongly suspect that he may well return to Cumbria, but a bit further North.

There isn't a huge quality difference between Conf North and the Conference Prem...but there is a huge difference between conf north and the top of the conference prem which is where we should be aiming. Top 10 finish.
Keep the spine of Livesey, Grand, Cook, Walker, ARH and build around them. New keeper, couple full backs (Wilmer-Anderton when fit) and a quality centre mid are main requirements. Not wholesale changes to the squad just 5/6 quality players that will be 1st XI starters.

Gorman and Ledsham defo on the list to go for me

Andy Burns not sure, McWilliams we just started to see at the end as a player so again unsure

Lewis Guy not really seem enough depends on the budget perhaps (eg could we afford anyone better)

Unsure re Taylor and Paddy Lacey will divide opinion- that's a maybe IMO

Many of these players do/did a right good turn for us and deserve our thanks and respect, for example Robbie Williams was excellent after being terrible at first in a poor season.

Why are we obsessed by getting old players back??!!

Thanks to all 5 players who played their part last season and this, suspect a few more will follow. Think he'll be off to a league club but Bogle would be off to a great start if he came here, I already love him

I hope Burns stays with us. Shows exactly the sort of attitude we need. Tenacious in the tackle, never seen him booked, does his job and will put his head where it hurts- Yes he does get caught out occasionally but can't think of many goals that come from that side when he's playing. Exactly what you need in a player and I think between him and utility man Cowperthwaite that area is covered.

central midfield remains the area where we need to add real quality- again- Lacey / ARH / Sheridan- All good players and all their games will step up if given the chance next season. Bond type player would be a great addition. Pilks / Reid- not sure. Haworth is not our player is he? but would like to see him back.

Up front- If we can get Omar Bogle I think that would be a great addition- think he's scored 20+ last three seasons albeit at this level. Along with Cook, Walker and Wilson- that's a strong forward options.

Keeper- Alan Martin remains the best I've seen between the sticks for us in recent times- Someone like him is the standard we should be aiming for. Taylor again- deserves a chance.

Centre halfs - Hope Grand and Livesey will stay

2 new fullbacks needed (at least as good as Wilmer Anderton)he showed what a modern fullback needs ,can`t knock burns attitude but in the league where we are going he and mcwilliams would get bullied,it`s no coincidence edmo didn`t pick burnsey for certain games!in midfield keep lacey, arh and sam and would add 2 more players.

reid good player lacks heart (bottles out of 50/50`s),pilks it all depends on whether edmo thinks his injuries would stand up to the rigours of the conference, andy howarth is a must now cheltenham are down i`m sure we will get him!,so another wide man needed,up front walker, wilson, cookey plus one more!

there you go Edmo/Meeks "simples" (i wish!)

A lot of mentions for Wilson and when I have seen him he was alright. However, injury has forced him into a very limited campaign and i'm not sure whether the rigours of the conference will make things any better.Hope I am proved wrong but I suspect another striker is being sought after as we speak!!!!!!!!!!

Didn't Reid & Wilson both sign 2 year deals last summer.
