I've sent countless emails over the last 20 years with ideas and offers of help commercially -

They never get a reply or an even an acknowledgment

I never get taken serious ( not even by people on here ) so [SwearFilter] it - good luck

Sounds like a defence to me!

Forest Green are a non league club. They do very well off the field. Gateshead , Chester etc. When you are paying someone what I would guess at being a substantial wage to manage the club commercially and all these things go wrong then something isn't right is it?

Fylde are non league and they are fantastic off the pitch. If you were a Fylde fan you would have nothing to defend. They are run that well.

I can't imagine our club get 6 million + emails per day and are snowed under. When you visit the reception there never seems to be phones off the hook and people running around.

If you put stuff on the official site correctly and guide people to the main site from facebook and twitter when annoucning things ( IE replica shirt stock availibility) not only does it look professional, but the website gets more hits and in turn becomes more popular and because you present the information correctly first time the amount of queries go down which means less emails to reply to. Its really simple, yet it fails to get done.

Sounds exactly the same to what Im feeling right now Bingo.

People seem to think its funny and a joke that the clubs losing money and arent willing to do anything about it. The people employed at the club can't be arsed and aren't even proividing basic customer service.

No one is expecting a perfect service, but its responses from directors like 'Do you think we need the money' that are frustrating.

There may be bigger things going on behind the scenes but there is a sense that people/staff at the club are genuinely #notarsed about making money, selling merchandise etc. No complaints on the football side, the pitch is sounding good too.

Dont know if anyones been to the club recently, but on top of the replicas do we have anything else in the shop? I know the stuff on the playerlayer site is pretty shite but its better than nothing(maybe...). Im hoping we see some decent training wear, and polos etc, notice the players have been wearing random old t shirts left over from the shop in previous seasons to these training camps.

If anyone can answer this can they let me know if the other items from playerlayer are the same sizing as the shirts please. Cant be arsed going down to the shop to try things on that dont fit me , its a bit embarrassing.

I don't think it's a joke Azz, but the club are doing what they always do, ignore everyone because 'we don't understand' and therefore complaints like yours get louder, the club gets more defensive, nothing happens because 'we don't understand'.

The answer is for someone to go in and get a grip of it and those at the club who are resistant to being told how to do their jobs should be told ..this is your role, this is how we'll know if you are doing a good job, this is the time you've got to do it. If they don't like that then they can leave.. Not nice, but plenty on here will have to do that at work.

But it won't happen, hence the gallows humour you don't like or even the folk trying to defend the club, misguidedly, because they don't like trashing online a part of their weekly life they care a lot about, even when it's making a mess. You and Steeley taking the [SwearFilter] out of them is as pointless as them getting arsey with your comments. IMO

You were 100% correct about Playerlayer though and what has been bought.

Paragraph 2 is the whole crux of the problem and has been since well before my time at the club - I honestly thought the new owner would have sorted it and the club would be operating more professionally with round pegs in round holes, but alas that seems not to be the case!

Genuinely though without a former member of this forum having a go at them through Twitter etc, we wouldnt have even seen bloody pictures of the shirts, there were a lot of other responses from other people too on there, asking about kids shirts etc which went completely unanswered.

They can get arsey, but they are a company, we are all customers wanting to buy shirts or whatever, and not just people who should be ignored or fobbed off.

Exactly! And that's the point I was making about Austin Straker earlier. He's the Chief Exec and Paul Casson's representative here on earth, this is what I'd hope he should be doing.
It all comes 'round again.

Its like its being run like an old failing Woolworths store in 1992. Surely its the Commercial Managers duty to " go in and get a grip" and put things in action. If somethings not being done right and the club is failing commercially then how can no one at the club see it?
How are people failing in there job and getting away with it?

It seems that the supporters link to the Board isn't or can't deal with this issue.

How about if a group of people off here form a fans forum group and then approach the owner (or perhaps Austin in the first instance) as a representative group to talk to him about all the problems the fans are concerned with. A representative group of regular fans who he knows express the views of many may do far more than individual complaints. It would also be better to back up the concerns with realistic suggestions of how to put it right with volunteers or offers to work as paid employees if the requisite skills are had. This is the time to do it before it descends any further into the commercial abyss. This is not simply a problem to do with the owners son it is the whole regime of running the club commercially which needs additional bodies with the requisite skills. We have them lets use them.

We have! This is the Dave P-roblem.

Jonny Tranter emailed the club to offer his opinions and help for no charge and didn't get a reply.

I emailed the club asking a lot of questions about a problem I had booking corporate and provided pages of feedback and possible solutions to the problems and the reply I got just answered my original query and ignored what was virtually a complaint. Theres definately something wrong there and nobody is being let in to try and help solve it.

You are right . Its not as simple problem as the directors son. Although as fans if somethings going wrong on the pitch and the managers tactics aren't right we come on here and discuss why things went wrong. why we lost, what we should have done instead to prevent that loss.

Im doing that here. I want to know why our Commercial Manager is hiding away and not answering his critisisms.

The club would rather struggle in 1st gear and im not sure it can get any worse at the moment. Its rock bottom.

I think it's a bit unfair to put the blame on one individual who has come to a new country where things are done differently than what he may be used to, and berating him on here won't help, I also don't think the fans should get involved in sorting the problem out, it's not the answer as seen by changing the set up for away travel, which appears not to have helped but made the situation worse.
